I posted a full review of this single at my blog, but tl;dr, I love it. "Dakishimerarete Mitai" has grown on me a lot since my first listening, and Okubo Kaoru's chopped-and-stuttered piano effect works better on "Ishiki Takai Otome no Dilemma" than any of the MM songs he's used it on. The video is a winner, and the smart use of the 4:3 aspect ratio adds drama to the many close-up shots (not just of the the girls) employed in it.

This is why the other song isn't the main A side and this one is. Everything is like a step up from the 2nd A side.

I love the MV for Ishiki Takai. The theme of circles is so prevalent. Does it have to do with the lyrics?

Ishiki Takai Otome no Dilemma sounds fresh and different, and I am glad many fans are enjoying it. The MV is also pretty good. I still prefer Dakishimerarete Mitai, it is slowly becoming one of my favorite Tsubaki songs so that speaks for itself.

 

This is a really good single overall, I still wish it was a triple A-side because it's their first single after almost a year, but I guess they'll be permanently moving Tsubaki into the double-A side area, like they did with Kobushi.

I really can't wait to see the sales. Last year was pretty boring and it doesn't seems like they promoted the single a lot so i'm worried.

^Wow. Seems like our worries are unfounded. Great to see the girls can still sell that well despite having being under the radar for almost the entire of 2019.

I can definitely see they will continue to give Tsubaki the sound they are currently having and it's really good to be honest.

Wow,they deserve it i'm so happy. It's safe to say they're gonna beat J=J and Angerme's last singles. I hope they can reach 70k at the end of the week.

Even more excited about Billboard first numbers.

65K figure in 1-day sales, with "slow" year in 2019, i guess the sales figure is shocking everyone. Also this thing convinced me, Tsubaki already have loyal fanbase.

WOW! Great sales! I'm so happy for them. Maybe they will reach the sales of Teion Yakedo . I'm happy to see they have a solid fanbase!
