Application conditions
・Female, living in Hokkaido, enrolled in the fourth year of elementary school up to the third year of middle school as of July 1, 2019.
・Must not currently be under contract with any agencies or record companies.
・Must have consent from legal guardian if under age.
・Must be able to attend lessons in Sapporo.

I am so happy about this! The HKSS program has been exceptional in its ability to produce very quick progress for those with potential. Even those who stood out in ways other than vocal ability like Oota Haruka have been able to showcase themselves in such a way that they've gained some following before a debut, so a continuation of this program is excellent news. More importantly from my own point of view, those who remained in the program will now be senpai and have the chance to shape the next generation of HKSS, giving them more reason to hang around for a bit longer so that they can hopefully debut in the future.

 

I still have high hopes for those who still remain among the original HKSS, but this should be great for them even if they haven't gotten a debut yet. People had been speculating for a while now that they were trying to clear out the talent from the HKSS so that they could disband it, but it should be seen as a beacon of hope for those still in the program that it is getting enough of a focus that there are going to be auditions to continue the program.  The HKSS in particular seem to have quite an exceptional education. I don't know if that's because there are fewer members and each girl gets more individual attention or if it's just a matter of how excellent the instructors are. In either case though, I look forward to seeing who we get from the audition, who may end up joining from the prior MM audition, and especially in what kind of performances we can see in next year's exam!

I am surprised they hold audition for "2nd gen"!  So KSS are not dead! Nice

Yeah, I'm not sure if they're the winners. Maybe they'll tell us more specifically when they're introduced at the recital on the 8th.
