They were next in line for a single, so I expected it sometime after JJ. I guess they're starting their double A-sides, like Kobushi did, hmm.
Either way, looking forward to this, I assume they will debut the songs sometime during Harocon.

The second song is about a date again! If I'm not mistaken, it translates to 'The Myth of the Third Date'?
Pure speculation, but maybe it's a continuation of Date no Hi? And another Tsunku song? Would be really stoked if that's the case, but it's likely not lol. Let's wait and see I guess.

Yes!! I just said last night how I was hoping for a new single announcement!! Interesting to finally see only a double-A side from Tsubaki, but I think they'll still deliver. And another "Date" song huh lol.

I hope this time none of the songs are written by Tsunku. He may write good songs for MM, but for other groups, never, especially J=J. For TF, oh well, the only good song is Date no hi.

I'm not judging his ability to write/compose songs, but what he's given H!P in the last 2 years has been meh to me.

Well, the last time he's written a song for Tsubaki, we had Date no hi, which was... a bit underwhelming to say the least.
I'm not judging his ability to write/compose songs, but what he's given H!P in the last 2 years has been meh to me.
He's publicly talked about that he's given H!P nice, upbeat songs and they've rejected them all. This is more on the current management than what exactly he's writing.
Date no hi felt very H!P to me. It could just be the current management has changed our taste in the music a bit. I feel like had that song be released a few years ago, it would have been better received.
MM: Ayumi, Maria, Rio |||| A: Rikako, Ayano, Wakana |||| JJ: Ruru, Akari, Riai
TF: Mao, Marine, Mizuho |||| BYO~: Minami, Kurumi, Kokoro |||| ON: Kanami, Momo, Kirara
HPKU: Yulia, Karin, Ayana ||| HPK: Niina

^ Having some songs rejected doesn't mean they were all going to be great.
Either the management takes crappy songs like "this one's crappy, we'll take it" or they're not and it just means they're not satisfied with the songs they've rejected.
Date no hi felt H!P... but Tsubaki in general doesn't feel very H!P for the music.
Look, I can give one problem of Tsunku songs: he writes beautiful poems, but he regularly doesn't give a damn about rhythm. Some lines are said very quickly because it clearly didn't fit the rhythm. It's quite ugly and disturbing. Example: in Date no hi, verses are made for 3 syllable lines, but lines there are 4 syllables long. Which means that you have to rush the whole way through singing the verses. "Yeah, but it depicts the hardships of a woman..." It's ugly, period.

Well regardless Tsunku isn't on the single
Sankaime no Date Shinwa :
Lyrics by Kodama Ameko
Composition by Nakajima Takui
Arranged by Sumikama Tomohiro.
This is the team that worked on the popular song "Konya Dake Ukaretakatta".
It is a hard uptempo song.
A girl who said "Date no Hi wa Nido Kurai Shower Shite Dekaketai" (I Want to Shower Twice Before I Go Out on the Day of My Date), is thinking of getting to the "Sankaime no Date Shinwa" (The 3rd date of legend). Tsubaki Factory is going to create a Spring Storm.
Fuwari, Koi Tokei :
A sad/heartbroken medium tempo song. A gentle side of Tsubaki that blossoms.
Lyrics by Izutsu Himi (Hatsukoi Sunrise)
Composition by Hoshibe Sho
creds to Mr. A

Yay, it sounds promising. Another masterpiece coming from combination of Kodama Ameko and Nakajima Takui! seems like the management invests in Tsubaki seriously, like the group is just behind MM 18' and Angerme in terms of potential promotions.

Seriously ? Maybe it's because you don't know about rhytm but in fact Tsunku is ALL ABOUT the rhytm, it's his trademark. He even works on numerous software which are all about the rhytm. It is one of the cornerstones of his work and it is precisely thanks to his rhythm that his songs are magical and that for example, "Date no hi" is a Masterpiece... Of rhytm...

I was right about it being the sequel to Date no Hi, even if it's not a Tsunku song lol. Excited for this single!

The "Tsunku" that emphasizes on rhythm is no longer there for you. If you listen to recent songs written by him, you'll see lots of similarities to older ones. Even songs like Date no hi or Are you happy have these similarities. He ran out of ideas long ago. Furthermore, his songs are heavily influenced by his understandings of members' feeling, that's how he could write Tsumetai for Sayashi Riho or Lalala no Pipipi for Sayu. However, recently, most of his songs are mediocre because he just did "business" stuffs that UFP requires. H!P is starting to rise again because of less influence from Tsunku, the exception is MM, which is reverse.
Frankly, I don't want Tsubaki Factory to be doomed because of his songs.
