The new articles are starting to roll in.

It seems to be a collaborative project between Space Craft Group, who runs the auditions for college pageant contest called Campus Queen, and Up-Front. The members are girls that participated in Campus Queen.

They will be performing at SATOYAMA & SATOUMI / Hello! Fes

They straight up made a Nogi clone, but with a focus on college? My head hurts lol

from what I can see, it's a project between Space Craft Group http://www.spacecraft.co.jp and Up Front Group

All members of College Cosmos are current University Students, and the group's aim to go the "intellectual idol" direction

btw, in Risa's profile, it said she's in the 3rd year of Keio University, major in Business and Commerce (慶應義塾大学 商学部商学科3年), the same University as Suzuki Airi :o :o :o

EDIT: ah.. too slow lol

Harajuku DREAM MATE (ハラ塾DREAM MATE) Showroom Schedule (in JST) : Kuroe Koharu (黒江心温) https://www.showroom...jukumate_koharu - TBA. Sakamoto Airi (坂本愛莉) https://www.showroom...rajukumate_airi - Tues/Thurs - 21:00 to 22:00. Fukano Hina (深野ひな) https://www.showroom...rajukumate_hina - Monday 20:00 to 21:00. Takagi Hana (高木波夏) https://www.showroom...rajukumate_hana - TBA. HDM Official Room https://www.showroom...ammate_official - TBA. The schedule is merely a guide, and will change if the girls are busy or wanna do more broadcast. BTW I literally live in Kuroe Koharu's showroom (with over 2500+ visitsover 2,900,000+ points, and currently rank #2 in the Cumulative Ranking lol), so if you somehow need to contact me and I'm not responding, you know where to find me. Yes, you can also find me in other girls' rooms, but I'm not sure if I'll always be there like in Koharu's room lol

As of Dec 30 2019, the girls are no longer broadcast daily even though they broadcasted daily for 3 years.

Watching people trying to argue and defend their ignorance since 1999TM. Btw dude chill, why so serious? lol

just checked out all the girls' profiles, all of them are from top universities :o :o :o

and the girl (Matsui Mari) that double center with Risa is in the 4th year of Law in Chuo University (founded as English Law School (英吉利法律学校 Igirisu Horitsu Gakko) in 1885, one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions in Japan) :o :o :o

damn, they're more serious about the "intellectual" part than I thought lol

I'm happy for Yamaki, but didn't they debut this group out of nowhere basically? It's like the most random thing ever. However, I feel like they'll be a one-off, or temporary at best.

And sorry to say, but this feels like a blatant 48/46 rip-off.

Also, this leaves Ozeki as the only non-kennin in Country Girls.

What a surprise! The group looks and sounds really good though. Very 48 group-ish. If I didn’t know better I’d say this was an stu48 song.

^^

I don't know, they're definitely not promoting it like it's just a temporary group. Yamaki apparently said in the interview that the group activities will be accommodating to their schoolwork since they're all college students. According to the Oricon article, some of the girls that would be graduating next year will continue working with the group, at least for a short while.

according to this article, there's no love ban lol

https://www.tokyo-sp...inment/1144603/

The YouTube description says that they'll have a CD debut starting next spring

Huh. Huh? They're really under Up Front? But not under H!P right? As in... basically Yamakki is the only H!P member and the other girls are members of that university project?

I'd be totally fine with that, in fact, even very interested, if they didn't have two other groups in the making (and in limbo) waiting for their last final members and debuts. It's a cool concept, not original but new for Up Front.

I don't expect too much to be honest, since they are basically full time university students - but then again from what I've heard university is a lot less strict than high school in Japan, even those really prestigious ones (looking at Airi, who could do basically all °C-ute related activities while graduating). This could have been much more of a hit one or two years ago with the whole UnIdol movement, but that was probably too close to the 46 groups' boom.

In the end I'm very happy for Yamakki, it's obvious she loves being an idol but also wants to focus on her status as intelectual university student. I'm not too much into big group choir songs, but I'll keep an eye on them.

That came out of nowhere and just make the part time group thing even more suspicious. Song is nice, i love the MV and the lyrics even if it’s pretty much a copy/paste of 48G music. Not a fan of having so many girls when 3/4 of them will probably stay in the background until they leave, though XD

I think this group is under UF and not under H!P, because it will cause wrath among H!P fans if they debut right now when there are 2 new H!P groups in the limbo.

Never like big groups like this and never get the appeal of it.

The only thing I am very upset is that Country Girls will never get a chance to become permanent again now that Risa is part of this group.

Now I am wondering if there is any plan for Mai to be part of something, if not, I have a feeling she is going to be a flight risk.

"Is College Cosmos part of H!P?" The answer is NO.

This group is under BOTH Space Craft Group and Up Font Group (probably under Up Front Create, not Up Front Promotion or J.P Room), so I think this group is something similar to Up Up Girls (Kari) and Kikkawa You.

UUG(K) and Kikka are under both YU-M Entertainment and Up Front Create (but UUG(K)'s sister groups, UUG(2) and UUG(P) are under YU-M Entertainment only)

so I think their relationship with H!P is probably the same as UUG and H!P

First of all it's the number of members. Secondly the style is somewhat similar to the 46 groups, as in light choir songs without notable solo lines.

I'm very happy for Risachan! :) I got into 46 (mostly Keyaki) the past year, so I like their style as well. I just can't wait to see her more often from now on and that I can support her by buying her (groups') CDs again. I know it's a little unfair for the other members, but I hope she'll stay in or near the center forever. XD

I see--I thought it might have been something deeper than that like Nogizaka having a school theme or something.

The vocals seem fuller here compared to the other large groups, but that's just my opinion.
