The girls first announced it at their second live (P I N K), and just now they announced the release date and title on Miyabi's new show.

Personally I am very happy about the promotion of Et Cetera, as it seems this song was the most popular among fans, and I do hope we will get a music video

Excited for this album. Crescendo is still one of my favorite J-pop albums (like every song is amazing!). Can't wait to get some more Pink Cres. in my life.

Is there any word on whether Sweet Girl's Night will be included? It would be kind of strange to have a Christmas song on a summer album but it's such a cute song and album-less singles bug me...

I'm excited!  The songs previewed on their 2nd live are amazing and if it's even close to being as good as Crescendo I'll be very satisfied.

Their first album was the best album of 2017. So I'm really really looking forward to their 2nd album.

What a great news! I hope there'll be 1 or 2 MVs accompanying this album. Judging from their live, this one sounds more RnB than the last one, but I might be wrong though... Crescendo was an awesome album, I hope this one will be too.

For everyone commenting that they want this album to be as good as the last one: They're still working with PLATINUM (Meroa/Yucco) as their main sound producer. On Crescendo, Platinum is responsible for four tracks (fun fun fun, LOVE CANDY, Tell Me Why,nSummer Wonderland), and at both of their concerts PINK CRES. have covered a variety of Platinum songs, so it's likely this album will be of similar quality as the first one.

I think it's somwhat rare for a UFP group to be mostly produced by a woman, and I think this is what makes their songs so authentic in their appeal towards college-aged girls. Although I would love for Tsunku to appear in the credits one day...

Their first album was such a strong record! Hoping this one follows in those footsteps. There's something so refreshing and yet familiar about a J-pop trio like this.

This album is so much overshadowed by Airi's album LOL. The fact that it was announced for so long ago, and only will be released 3 weeks after DMAF doesn't help at all. Aside from the newly released cover art, is there any promotion works for this album? MV? Billboard? Anything?

I've been hearing so much about Airi's album, I didn't even know this was a thing!! I'm so excited omg The cover looks beautiful and just like their style~ The last album was classic upbeat girl power jpop which I love so I'm interested in seeing if they're going to continue with that theme or explore different styles~

Concerning promotion, there isn't much besides SNS, a couple radio shows and somewhat obscure webshows. They also just announced they will be in this month's CD Journal: http://www.pinkcres....pics-180605.php

Keep in mind that they are technically indies at the moment while Airi's album is a major one. Feel free to promote them yourself by recommending them to your friends and hyping them up hehe

^ That's what I was wondering. They are still indies... Why are they still indie again? I mean how long term is UF planning to do this indie thing with them? I don't really understand what's the advantage atm.

What does being indie even mean? UUG kakko kari is also an indie group, right? (please correct me if I was wrong) Is that mean they're not going to be included in Oricon chart? Are they not going to have tv promotion? Please enlighten me..

Btw, the cover photo looks very nice, but I'm not a fan of Miya's coloured contact lenses. Just a personal preference though

Indie means that you are not under contract with a major record label. In Pink Cres' case they are with some Up-Front label while other groups are only managed by UF but their records are distributed by a major label (in case of H!P music and Airi it's zetima).

Their music won't be distributed big time. So as a normal customer you can't walk in any record shop and buy their album.

 

My question wasn't really that serious bc chances are that they simply don't want to take the risk of promoting them on a national level just yet or zetima isn't interested yet.

Ah, thank you for the explanation.. It's of course a possibility that a big label isn't interested to sign them up yet, but really, I think that pinkcres is severely underrated. They have great songs, great style, they can be cover girls for any fashion magazines and their songs fit for the summer time so much. It's painful to see this wasted talent and opportunity

Completely agree. I wonder if Lovendor as well would be doing better if they'd gone major sooner... Actually, not sure if they even have done it yet. I don't want Pink Cres. to end up like them. Lovendor's not releasing anything good, often, and get zero promo to the point no one knows they exist. It's a shame. It would be sad to see the girls quitting because of it, which is what sometimes happens with indies groups (and what I think happened with Lovendor).

I think LovendoR might be the reason why they don't let them go major just yet but experiment with how to do things.

The team surrounding LovendoR is this very typical rock team UF has. And basically no solely UF artist is doing all that well. They just don't really know how to do things besides producing music. Then again Reina didn't plan to do music after graduating MM to begin with. So this might be more than she hoped for. And after all Japanese artists are usually paid a salary anyway.

On the other hand Pink Cres has this team of outsiders that's experimenting with new stuff in terms of what UF artists usually do. I might be wrong but the women producing PC didn't produce major artists all on their own before? So it's a new playground for them as well? They might all benefit from what UF is doing for Airi. Just looking at how they tried new things for her MVs (again "new" for UF) and such.

I'm not betting on PC ever making it big but I'm happy they let Miya and the girls have their freedom with finding new allies and doing their thing. And hopefully that will lead to them getting into a market UF artists didn't manage to break into yet. I mean they are basically up against avex with their music and style. That's tough.
