^ agree. I also love this year lottery video. Ayacho looks really good as HP leader, she's friendly and yet assertive. There are still fun moments like when Risa drew her lottery (that sass), Funakki being hyper, and Momona being asked to drag the board out (I don't know, her little sister persona is so endearing). Fukuchan looks bummed that she doesn't get a solo spot this year is sad, but I'm pretty excited for my Honey, Kishimon, and Risa-chan!

I believe they simply ditched it because Momohime was now part of the lottery, just like Hamachan stopped being general and Momohime took over when she became part of it. Yeah, previous lotteries were more funny and they could have used another KSS who they wanted to give an image boost for this year but there might not have been any time.

 

Harunan solo~~~...and a Yamaki one too! Sadly, I didn't win any tickets for the first day but with Harunan singing solo and members like Chii and Aari who I really like singing together I might purchase one separately.

If I'm not mistaken, it seems like Ayacho used exaggerated polite keigo this time. You know, in contrast with previous years where taisa or gensui spoke very harshly (part of the character).

 

I think that's why everybody laughed when someone (didn't see who) said "I don't understand anything!".

It's unlikely, but with the new digital single craze H!P has been on, I would love if they would allow the solo/shuffle units from Hina Fest to record and release whatever song they perform as a digital single.

This is a great idea and I would love for this to happen but idk if UFP will be that good to us lol

the exaggerated privacy policies, overexplaining captions, Ayacho's overpoliteness, "voluntary regulation" (自主規制), fake lottery box that everyone win because of equality (also prevent parents complaining lol), etc

really funny to see that everyone were so annoyed by it lol

It was pretty strange, because with the censoring of their faces for privacy purposes and Ayacho referring to the lottery box where everyone draws a 'Win' and no one loses it felt like the writer of this piece was poking fun at certain topics that are often discussed in the West...well,mostly America.

That might be reading too much into it.  It seemed more like she was just being over-the-top polite and humble as "leader" rather than the brash military commander-of-status gimmicks given to Hamaura or Momohime.  Not having an authoritarian gimmick, not being rude to the chosen helper, and defying the expectations set by the previous lotteries, that was the joke.

Reckon think they also might have abandonned the KSS mod thing bc the previous KSS doing this were all promoted to full members. So it might feel like it's a spoiler at this point stirring hopes for a debut of a girl to fans and the girl itself that might or might not be justified?

I think the reason why they went with a safer and less aggressive approach this year, is because I don't think anyone can top Momohime's act last year. As it got crazier each year and Momohime was literally yelling at her senpais lol.

I don't know the rest of the world, but the word "politically correct" or "political correctness" in modern American usage don't really have anything to do with "political" in a general way (it's actually more towards "policy" and "polite" than "political") https://english.stac...correct-changed. The confusion there is probably because politically correct used to mean something very different and far more heinous during WWII.  The recent change from its authoritarian conservatism and fascist roots to now being used for propaganda against liberal social policy is something that's probably best left to political discussions.
