The MV is not available in my country, though I suppose it's because the release date is the 24th. I didn't buy the song since I opted for the Hatachi mini-album, but I'm thinking of purchasing the video (and as a nice little birthday self-present too).

omg I haven't posted in this forum in like 5 years, but I need to vent.

 

Does anyone have experience with buying MVs? Are they supposed to be 480p? I decided to splurge and actually buy an MV for once. I bought the iTunes version, and it turns out that it's only 480p. Just to be sure that iTunes wasn't just being dumb, I also decided to buy the Recochoku version, which is MUCH more expensive. It's also 480p. The Recochoku version is actually WORSE because it has black bars covering the top and bottom IN ADDITION to the white bars that are already part of the MV. The black bars isn't just something that's there because of the resolution, it's actually a part of the video. It's 2018, how is this a thing? This isn't a DVD rip, where it's a limitation of the media, it's a downloadable video file, there's absolutely no reason they can't give you the 1080p version, especially if they're charging 5 bucks for it on Recochoku.

 

First and last time I buy an MV. I've never been an advocate for buying MVs, which Japan seems to love to do, but if they can't even have the decency to sell you the HD version, then I'm doubly sure it's pointless to buy them. I don't want to wait a whole year just for them to resell you the HD version on Petit Best.

I think it has something to do with personal setting. When I downloaded Ai no Tane on itunes it had only 360p.

I've done some digging. From what I've read, searching on Google, I think most of the music videos on iTunes are 480p, it doesn't matter which artist.

 

For the sake of testing, I actually bought another music video from a different, non-idol artist on Recohoku. It's still 480p...

 

So for some reason, despite Japanese companies constantly pushing people to buy MVs, they don't seem to have the decency to sell you the HD versions of the music video 

 

Thankfully, UF/H!P are one of the least worst offenders of this stuff, just because they actually upload most of their MVs, but as someone that listens to a lot of Japanese music, this just frustrates me to no end. I honestly don't know how Japanese people put up with it.

On a less infuriating note, I think we can all agree this this MV is one of the best.

 

There were many different components which made it interesting but were also shot beautifully (esp. the part where Maa,Haa and Eripon fall into the rose petals). The choreography was top notch and the formations were cool.

 

Also bonus points for Mizuki centre

I agree with everything that you said.

 

Their performance in The Girls Live really didn't serve the song's choreography a justice. There were too many flappy arms that were not in synchronize. But then they look very polished and beautiful in the MV. I also really love the scenes where they projected flower images onto their costumes.. so pretty.

It’s the part right after Haachin’s line. We know both Miki and Chisaki are singing, but the MV doesn’t really show who is singing with them.

I thought it was Maria as well at first. Her autotuned lines during concert sound different compared to this one I was surprised when the japanese fans confirmed it was her

^ Yay, we get live full versions with Sakura and Ayumi. After hearing Hana ga Saku for 2 months, and still getting chills while listening to it, I am pretty sure it's going to finish in my top 3 for the year, unless 2018 becomes the best year ever.

 

One more note, I have been following HP since 2011 and this is easily my favorite MM group since being a fan and possibly my favorite ever since their beginnings. The girls really seem to be happy and fulfilled.
