Haven't watched the episode yet but it seems like I'm interested in Dance Position more than vocal lol. Personally out of all dance performances, I like Instruction perf the most. If I would rank all dance performances it would be Instruction > Handclap > Sorry Not Sorry > Touch > Side to Side.

Sae vs Miru. Sae won. Happy for her. Hope that the benefits will save her. I watched Kojima Mako fancam first and I was amazed with her. Her energy, expression, dance is the best. I hope she's safe for the next round.

 

Also out of topic but still related lol. One of the producers for concept evaluation song is revealed to be Wanna One member. It's amazing to see that he was once sitting in the same position as the girls last year as trainee and is now the one who appeared on screen in front of the girls as a producer. What an upgrade!

Fans speculated that Meeting Again/See You Again is his song and he might sing the demo which imo, makes sense because the first time I listened to the song, the voice is way too high and I was kinda turned off by that. Fans also lower the pitch of the voice and it seems like it was his voice. I can see that Meeting You might become popular lol

So curious who will sing this song. My friend thinks that it suits Yabuki Nako (since the voice in demo sounds similar to hers).

I was the opposite, I enjoyed the vocal/rap performances more. The Meri Kuri and TTU performances were so good!  INTW was good, but it suffered from line distribution issues.  I thought the best dance teams were the ones that didn't focus on the "big moment" and had more cohesiveness.  So my rank is similar to yours:  Handclap > Instruction > Side to Side > Touch > Sorry Not Sorry.

 

The concept evaluation and 2nd elimination rumors are out, but I don't trust any of them yet.  But:

After what had happened in the prevous season with Hyungseob, I am not surprised that Yujin got that rank, but more surprised that she ended up ranking that low, I would of expected 10-13. Also not really surprised that Yoonjin also ranked that low, after that whole asking for a re-try to be the center of ITNW as well.

 

I really really want Miru, Chowon, and Sae to sneak up into the final 12 I would be so happy. Its now 2-pick if i am correct so we'll see drastic changes now compared to the 12-pick, and even more when 1-pick happens.

Mnet released these rankings for a reason, they want the fans of the lower ranking trainees to rise and some to fall from the Top 12.  Since the voting period ends on August 18th, there is a strong suspicion that concept evaluation wlll last across 2 episodes which didn't happen in Seasons 1 and 2.

 

I feel that the rankings will only be revealed when it's not to Mnet's benefit to manipulate voting and try to get the results they want.

The series is having A LOT of reruns of ep 6 and ep 8 this week. Looks like they are purposely skipping episode 7.

Episode 7 contains all the remaining Japanese contestants except Miru and a couple of Korean contestants that they don't mind sacrificing (like Gyuri...)

Congrats to Mad Dog Miho!  I'm still shocked!

 

I think the teaser with Sakura as 1st is Mnet faking us out, they did the same thing for vocal and rap when they teased a Kim as 1st but it ended up being Han Chowon.

 

Sakura has been Mnet's punching bag all season, but she seemed geniunely happy to be on the See You Again team though.

Some people mentioned that they haven't announced other teams' scores yet. Only See You Again, I AM, and Rumor based on the color. If it's true then maybe Sakura is not 1st (if any members from the other 3 teams overtook her position)

 

Sakura mentioned that To Reach You is hard I think? Since it's too high for her so I'm not surprised if she voted herself to leave. Her reaction to See You Again was so cute. Maybe she originally wanted that song in the first place. She was all jumpy.

 

Some thoughts

Gotta say that yesterday's episode was so boring. I usually streamed live only during elimination episode but the concept evaluation made me want to watch the performance only to be let down that it will air next week. The behind the scene stuff was like the same old story line all over again and I am no longer interested on that stuff anymore. What a waste of 2 hours.

Chaeyeon got kicked out but they made a story about Yujin. lol ok Mnet.

Sae is not a member of Rumor it seems. /s

To Reach You has 5 vocalists in the group. That Goeun-Yuri fighting for main vocal story line again. Tbh, I was expecting so much on them but the high note.......... wasn't that great from both of them lol although I thought Yuri was a bit better than Goeun

 

Some good stuff from yesterday's episode:

- Nayoung and Hitomi are the cutest

- A HISTORICAL MOMENT IN PRODUCE HISTORY. NAYANA CENTER MET NEKKOYA CENTER. Someone please put Choi Yoojung there to complete.

Team Rollin' Rollin' received the 130K vote benefit, with Miru receiving 50K.  Even though Sakura won the on-site vote, since her team did not win she receives no benefit.

I don't dislike To Reach You, but it has an unnecessary rap that kills the mood of the song.  It would have been really good without it.  I Am is an amazing song that was let down by a mediocre live  performance.  Rollin' Rollin' had a really fun, energetic live performance, but I'm not really a fan of the song itself.  The verses have a weird beeping effect which combined with the high pitched voices are annoying.  Rumor was incredible in studio and live, a well-written song.

 

Next elimination will be down to 20 trainees for the debut eval/elimination.  Episode 11 will concentrate on the variety pairings revealed a few posts up and Chiyori and Wang Ke (the two funniest trainees this season IMO) will return as MC's!
