Maachan cannot be beaten in this election. She really is the Sasshi of h!p. She's won the poll by Japanese fans the last couple of years too.
Happy and surprised by how high Yokoyan ranked, also how much Yanamin has gone up.

+6 Sato Masaki (1st of course it's Maa-chan)

The spreadsheet is really interesting to process, particularly with some of the meteoric rises compared to past results. Miki's rebound was another point of interest considering her slight dip last year. Half of the voting users giving points to Maa-chan makes her seem like one of the most universally liked members in years. Funaki's high rating last year wasn't just a fluke and, theoretically, is presently as popular as Fukumura with more people voting for her for the same amount of points.
My top 3 were spot on.

This was a really good election. I'm a little sad for Anjus most popular members downfall. They need good releases next year. Besides that I'm so excited to see how Miki vs. Yokoyan will play out next year!

Well the discussion is still ongoing, and there are too much messages going different ways but anyway, the main topics are:
- how high Yokoyan is, and trying to explain it (her smile, like Zukki n°2), and conversely, how low Kaedii is (while she's 6th on the Japanese poll)
- the group poll, and how the evolution from 2016 to 2017 has been... well, kind of expected; in particular, they insist on Juice=Juice's rise and coming 2nd, concluding (rightly so I think) that the World Tour has been successful, as well as Angerme losing steam
- Karin's ranking which is still low for them (she's like 4th on the Japanse poll), even though she's up from last year
- how Danbara and Yanamin are the top ranking members from Juice=Juice,
The rest is: trying to understand the poll and the different categories, saying "foreigners have a good sense" or reversely "foreigners have a bad sense".
oh, and of course, the domination of Maachan.

Thanks a lot! I'm really so thankful for all your work. I just came home from the party and will soon go to bed. So I will thank you guys properly tomorrow.
I really hope Henkka will again translate the best posts of this discussion. After all one of the main reasons why this poll is so much fun every year is because we can be sure that the Japanese wot will pay attention to the foreign fandom once a year.
And I just love how hurt they are by Karins ranking each year. I love her but at the same time I hope her rank will decrease again next year. Just for the wota comments. (not really but...you know... if it would happen then there's nothing we could do right? lol)

Thanks for all the hard work guys! Also I think polls like this will serve an important purpose when they get back to the agency which I suspect they do given the 5ch thread etc. They should be very very happy with the results for Ju=Ju. They rightfully identified them as the most capable of taking over C-ute's torch and maybe even running a bit further with it. I however think that any H!P group would still do well and get a really positive reaction doing overseas concerts, nothing beats the live experience and meeting the Idols in the flesh. *rambling* the main point is hopefully it means they'll be even more H!P overseas concerts this year.
For Danbara, yes she ranked high and was a high gainer but not that much, she was just already amazingly popular even as a trainee. That'll only increase with more Ju=Ju overseas concerts because she's a 'god level' performer.
