Hello everyone!
Where has the year gone?! It feels like yesterday when the H!P kids were leading Hello!Project. We said our final farewell's to C-ute and Momochi, marking the end of an era and the start of a new one. But that's not a bad thing! Many great and not so great things have happened this year. Wada Ayaka and Fukumura Mizuki became the first Eggs to be named Hello!Projects leader and sub-leader respectively! We got a whole new batch of Kenshuusei and some wonderful promotions. Some groups went through some shocking changes, and others hit amazing milestones. It was definitely a roller-coaster of a year, and I'm glad we all got to spend it together here on Hello!Online!

In last years annual general election poll, we saw Morning Musume's Sato Masaki have a back to back win (2015 and 16's winner)! Is it possible for her to pull a hat-trick, or will someone take the crown while we're not looking, could it be the first time a Morning Musume member doesn't win the election?! It's up to you guys to decide who will be Hello!Online's Best Idol of 2017!
How to Vote!
The same as previous years, we will be continuing with the traditional 10+ point system!
Out of the list of Hello!Project members provided in the spoiler, choose 10 members who you think did really well this year, improved a lot, worked hard, made your heart flutter, or just your favorite member, and give them votes from 10+ to +1. The member who receives 10+ gets 10 points, the member who receives 9+ gets 9 points and so on. So by the end of your top 10 votes, it should look something like this
10+ Tanaka Reina
9+ Michishige Sayumi
8+ Niigaki Risa
7+ Ishikawa Rika
6+ Lin Lin
5+ Goto Maki
etc.
You can only give one member each point. So for example, If you gave Michishige Sayumi 9+, you cannot give her 6+.
Categories (Optional)
The category section was a hit last year, so we're bringing them back! We have removed "BEST PERFORMER" category due to the confusion over what a "best performer" was to many people, but we have added a new category that we think you will all enjoy voting on. We hope you like the changes! Once again, you have the chance to vote for your best idol in the following categories;
Best Idol Group - Best Singer - Best Dancer - Best Newcomer - Idol you want to push
Please note that you can only vote for ONE member/group per category. You cannot vote for one member + another member in the same category.
Best Idol Group
The group that you felt performed the best this year. Which groups songs did you like the most? What group went beyond your expectations? Who made your heart jump in excitement this year? It can be your favorite group, or it can be a group you don't usually follow. Either way, the decision is yours to make!
Groups eligible for the "best group" category are official H!P groups who have been active in the year 2017 with releases and such. So while Buono! is included, groups like Lovendor, PINKcres, Dream Morning Musume, UpUpGirls, and Melon Kinebi for example, are not included. Please don't vote for them as it will not be counted.
Best Singer / Best Dancer
The idol you believe sung or danced the best this year! It could be someone who has improved the most this year, or someone who has been consistent in their skills for a long time.
Best Newcomer
To be eligible for this category, the idol has to have either 1) officially promoted to a H!P for the first time, or 2) joined the H!P franchise as a KSS member this year.
Members eligible are; = Newly promoted H!P members; Kaga Kaede, Yokoyama Reina, Danbara Ruru, Kawamura Ayano, Ichioka Reina, Takase Kurumi, Kiyono Momohime and,
new faces to H!P, the 27th generation of Kenshuusei; Shimakura Rika, Hibi Marina, Eguchi Saya, Doi Rena, Okamura Minami, Matsunaga Riai, Yamada Ichigo, and Nakayama Natsume.
Idol you want to push
We've decided to add a new category to the list. The "IDOL YOU WANT TO PUSH" category is your chance to vote for the member you think improved the most this year, or has been consistent in their skills for a long time. It can be an idol who you feel hasn't been acknowledged enough this year, or an idol who didn't do so well this year but you want to see do better next year. This category is for idols who will be in Hello!Project next year, so graduates/graduating members are not eligible.
You can vote for the same member in multiple categories, or you favorite member, but please think about how a member has done this year. It doesn't just have to be the member who you think is the best, but also who you thought improved a lot, who appeals to you more, or who you felt went above expectations this year more than any other member.

If this is your final vote, please write "FINAL VOTE" at the end of your post. Once you have posted your final vote, you cannot under any circumstances change your vote. We're giving you the opportunity to change your votes from the time you post to the voting deadline (December 30th 2017 00:00 GMT), so please make it easier for us by writing "final vote" at the end of your posts.
Because there is a chance of people double voting through emails, and many people in this forum questioned the legitimacy of the polls for that reason, I'm not providing any email to send your votes to. Therefore, YOU CAN ONLY VOTE THROUGH POSTING ON THIS THREAD.
Rules
You can only vote if you have made your account before November 7th, 2017. Votes made by accounts created after that date will not be counted.
You must only vote ONCE. Please don't make multiple accounts to vote (you may be banned if found to be making multiple accounts).
ONLY THE H!P MEMBERS THAT ARE LISTED ON THE FIRST POST ARE ELIGIBLE.
Please put down the full name of the idol you're voting for. No nicknames allowed.
Please use all 10 positive votes, it just makes it more accurate and saves us vote counters the time of going back to check which vote was put where on the flowchart.
No double names allowed. For example, if you put Kamikokuryou Moe at 10+, you cannot put her at 9+, 8+ and so on.
You cannot change your vote once you have wrote "FINAL VOTE" at the end of your post. This causes errors in the tallying process thus making it harder to count the votes.
Unless any of the counters send you a message to tell you otherwise, please follow all the rules to make this easier for us!

There are 87 girls eligible as compared to last years 82 girls.
Only H!P members who were active in the year of 2017 are eligible, graduates included.
C-ute, Tsugunaga Momoko, Fuiji Rio, Ogawa Rena, Kudo Haruka, and Aikawa Maho are eligible. Sayashi Riho and Mitsui Aika are not eligible.
SCHEDULE
Preliminary results of the top 20 idols will be announced once we have received 100 "final votes".
