The year is almost over and post-13th gen seems like a good time to start this thread again
Hopes:
H!P in general
- They keep up the high quality MVs ? They were really inconsistent this year in their MVs
- They get better at promoting each girl's strengths in general (or at least the stand outs) ? Some of them
- No new groups next year ✓ Even though it was announced we don't even know the members yet
- sub H!P Station X
- More creative photo-books in general (at least for the more popular members) X
-More magazine covers for individual members ? I think Maria had more covers in a year than Riho had in her whole career but outside of MM, I didn't see much of a difference
-H!P gets a show that doesn't include the non-H!P groups ✓
Morning Musume
- 13th gen prove me wrong and find a way to stand out (kind of got my hopes of Reina) X I forgot they were there some of the time
- Ayumi gets more acting work and step up from specials to full length dramas (or at least a few episodes) X she didn't get any
- More modelling work for members, especially W Haruna, but it'd be good to see Maria do more too X
- They find the direction they want MM to go music wise X
- W Haruna and Haruka gets to do more variety X
- We get an album next year ✓
- More overseas concerts X
- We get more singles with Maria/Haruka/Ayumi centers X One grad single doesn't count
C-ute
- They kill it at SSA ✓
- Get a good bye single to be remembered as the hallmark of grad singles. ? It was okay but I had really high expectations
- make a 10th studio album ✓ Their best album had enough new songs for it to pass
Country Girls
- They bounce back from the drop in sales
- They add people capable of filling the whole that Momoko will leave (it doesn't have to be on person)
- I'm guessing it'll be one of the following: Momohime, Takase Kurumi (unless they miraculously change the age of MM auditions which would be better), Ayano
- They get to do more TV work
----BOOOOOO H!P
Tsubaki Factory
- The debut MVs beat the standard set by Hitorijme ✓
- The last song for their debut is much more memorable than the first 2 ✓I turned out to like 2/3 of their first single and the second defied all expectations
- They get promoted properly ✓ I want to see more but I guess they were promoted okay(ly?)
- Several members get to go into modelling because this is definitely a visual group
- Their debut sells at least 30k ✓
- They do a musical with all nine of them X It's a shame this didn't happen
- H!P give them better styling (the only one I really don't like is the just try outfits so for now it doesn't seem impossible) ✓
- They adopt C-ute's stylist after they leave✓ Don't know about stylist but they definitely got their production team
- They figure out what sound they want TF to go for (and fingers crossed its something closer to Nogi46 since that would suit TF well) ✓ They found a style that perfectly fits the group
I don't really follow the other groups anymore since there are too many so I don't have anything for them

When I went into 2017 I followed most H!P groups but now I only follow 2/5 so I hope the new group will be a good one.
Predictions
- KF is going to add 4+ members or will get the CG treatment
- KF will get 1 single and (maybe) 1 digital single
- Chisaki will be pushed more in MM
- 3 or less graduations from MM
- MM get 3 singles
- MM continues to sell 100k+
- TF will get their first tour (Hall tour if this single sees a large increase in sales)
- JJ keeps doing too many tours and H!P continues to neglect them (I liked FF but if adding 2 members with huge potential and a world tour doesn't make H!P make plan to promote them more then I don't know what will)
- Rina will graduate from ANGERME
Hopes
- No lineup changes for TF
- TF continues to get great MVs (I'll even hope so far as they get even better MVs)
- TF gets a hall tour
- A TF single sells 45k-50k(+)
- TF gain more success and becomes one of the groups that H!P promotes to the mainstream audiences more (C-ute has moved on and MM can't clap with one hand so H!P will need more popular groups)
- TF gets a debut album (with a high production MV lookin at the one KF got)
- I'm still holding out for at least one of them to get a contract with a magazine
- MM gets a YA or SSA concert (I don't even care if its for a graduation I just want to see them in a bigger venue than Budokan)
- MM gets better promotion and doesn't disappear for half a year
- Even though they just had one, I want to see MM go back to having yearly albums
- H!P milk's their 20th anniversary
- ANGERME gets a real single next year
- H!P gets a new show
- Someone TF gets a drama
EDIT - year isn't up yet
- Hope to see more outdoor venue concerts this year (like the one for Momoko's grad)
Honestly, i doubt Oharu will graduate. She keep saying she want to improve and even said the usual « I can see myself in the group years later » people like Ayaka always say. Unless something bad happen, i can see her staying for few years. And since she finally got more lines in the last single and the album + a tv show, she probably want to stay a bit longer.
MM:
- 2 graduations (Masaki/eripon)
- a chisaki Center song and photobook (I don't like her but I can see management trying a sou janai with her)
- new audition ending with no winners
- akane getting the pochari character
Predictions: - A lot of digital single releases - All the PVs on official Youtube channel are in short version - Dawa annources her graduation - At least one graduation from MM'18 - Chel and Chiichan get pushed more in MM'18
Hopes - MM'18 releases a compilation album (Title: Morning Musume ALL SINGLES COMPLETE ~20th ANNIVERSARY~) - RihoRiho returns
Fears - Maachan graduates from MM'18 - CG disbands
