It's November and this year comes to an end. Let's play a game of making some speculations what's going to happen within H!P in 2018. I'm really interested in reading everyones guesses on what's about to come!

 

1. It doesn't matter what your speculations are about. Wether it's about how many singles a group will release, if ANGERME will finally have an overseas concert, whom will be in Ichioka factory or if Hagachin and Duu will have a shotgun wedding. 

 

2. Please only post cues like

3. There's no right or wrong with speculations so I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't discuss with someone about their "predictions".

3. At least one angerme grad, 2 if Aikawa decides she can't come back

5. The two engeki-whatever-it's-called girls join the new theatre section or the theatre section a part of engeki-thingymabob
6. Ichioka factory takes at least half of its members from the audition
7. This is more of a wish, but units for the kss please (similar to how shugo chara egg was back in the day)

Releases

-A MM'18 digital cover album released in late january

-We finally get a new ANGERME album

-No groups release only 1 single

-We get more cheap lil Upcoming songs (would like to see everyone get one)

 

Graduations/Lineup changes

-Maachan, Harunan graduate from MM

-Takechan graduates from ANGERME

-Maybe a surprise Tsubaki graduation (which would be crazy, Tsubaki at 8 and Kobushi at 6)

-Kobushi stays 6 and has a Kimi wa Jitensha type single thats really succesful. 

 

Debuts

-Hokkaido Kenshuusei become an official group, they wouldn't debut until like 2019 tho.

-H!P theater group recruits Ishii Anna, Kodama Sakiko, and 4 girls from the H!P audition for an 8 person group. Their concept is like 1 a-side per single based around the play they are doing and the other a-side is more stand alone and idol-y like the rest of H!P

-Riho comes back and forms a duo with Horie Kizuki, maybe a trio with a 3rd new girl

-Ichioka Factory debuts Rika, N Kurumi, Kokoro, Kotomi, Yuhane, and 2 audition girls.

-Nishida Shiori, Kanatsu Mizuki, Yonemura Kirara, and Okamura Minami form an anime unit like the person above mentioned

 

Concerts

-Besides the world tour, J=J finally catches a break and doesn't go on endless tours

-ANGERME starts doing less live house concerts, and they have a Yokohama Arena concert.

-Tsubaki Factory finally gets a tour

-Kobushi has some hall concerts

-A combined Kobushi/Tsubaki tour

 

Overseas:

-Juice=Juice finally comes to the U.S. and they go to at least 5 more new countries

-ANGERME has a Hawaii fanclub event

-MM comes to the U.S. again

 

H!P in general

-Risa and Mai get more work to do.

-Dance club plays more music with english swearing in it.

-Hello!Station starts being interesting again

-(UF related) PINK CRES and solo Airi become super successful.

1. At least one group will go overseas again.

2. Ichioka's group will debut (I mean that's more or less a given but... lol). 

3. H!P anniversary concerts, like they did with the 15th anniversary. This time I think they'll have Matsuura Aya with them.

4. Now for a rather unlikely thing: We'll get an H!P-song again. You know, all groups in one song. 

5. They'll release digital cover songs again.

6. Oharu and Akane continue to improve.
7. More Miki and Chisaki after Haruka's grad.
8. No new members for Kobushi Factory.
9. A digital single for the Country Girls.

- Icchan's unit becomes a mix of KSS and 20th anniversary audition winners

- Some of the audition winners also form a new unit

- The white outfits for MM will never end

- I guess Ichioka's mysterious group will finally debut

H!P

-new unit announcement on the opening day of the 2017 Winter H!P concert. Consisting of the older girls from KSS. Group has a "mature, sexy, cool" concept. Major debut early 2018. (Reina's new group got announced but I highly doubt they'll major debut early 2018)

-either shuffle units that release singles come back, or they do another H!P All Stars type single

-some sort of Riho return

-Coconuts Musume relaunch.

-Very little boring A-sides. (There were quite a few....unfortunately)

-Hello!Station english subs.

-Concerts in AMERICA!! (UF really did us dirty with Juice=Juice...)

 

KSS

-Hello! Massara no Jibun MV and single release please

-New KSS album

-27th Gen in January

-28th Gen in September

C-ute

-One last single in April or May.

-Berryz to guest star / show up at their concert at SSA.

-Chisa and Maimi become H!P Advisors

 

Morning Musume '17

-13ki Debut Single (63rd) in March.

-Kaede = Green, Reina = Red

-Kaede keeps her short hair.

-64th Single in July

-65th Single in November/December

-15th Album in November/December (SUPER surprised this one came true)
-Yokohama Arena or Saitama Super Arena for the 2017 Fall tour in order to commemorate their 20th Anniversary. The tour final will be huge and feature tons of Morning Musume OG. All Televised of course.

-No Graduations (it's a big wish, but I really want another year full clean year of no new members / graduations).

-Keep the rotating centers idea.

-Singles as good as the 62nd and/or better. (Singles were good but not as good as the 62nd, unfortunately)

-Another concert in America!!

 

ANGERME

-3 singles

-No Graduations (we don't know about Aiai yet)

-IF there's a graduation, have it be in the Fall, and get a new member immediately to bring it back to 9.

 

Juice=Juice

-Another Budokan for Spring tour.

-New members (sorry, I know a lot of people don't want this but I do lol)

-New album

 

Country Girls

-Two singles before Momochi graduates (I know they have their 5th coming up in Feb, but also a 6th in maybe May or June).

-Maybe an album before Momochi graduates too?

-One or two new members!

-Ditch the 50's concept.

 

Kobushi Factory

-2 singles

-Maybe a Budokan? Or joint Budokan at least with Tsubaki.

-Quit it with the growling.

 

Tsubaki Factory

-3 singles (We got Teion Yakedo early so I'll count this as a correct prediction)

-Kishimon keeps her short hair.

 

Fearful Predictions (Could happen but would rather them not):

-Someone leaves Tsubaki.

-MM'17 Graduation in Spring.

-A bunch of good KSS leave.

-Dawa Gradates.

-Rina Graduates.

-Takechan Graduates.

-Tsubaki flop. (I think they did much better than expected)

 

2018 Predictions/Hopes

 

H!P

• At least 2 REGULAR singles per group per year.
• No huge structural changes.
• Figure out what's going on with that friggin Theater Group
• 20th H!P Anniversary Concert featuring OG (Meimi please??)
• Concerts in USA
• Riho Return
• Keep it up with the interesting group digital releases and shuffle groups
• No useless effing auditions with "no results"

Morning Musume '18

• Harunan Graduation
• Maachan Graduation
• 3 singles
• 15th Gen in December
• Singles as good as the 62nd
• More lines for Kaedy
• Kaedy cuts her hair short again.
• BIG VENUE concert (Yokohama Arena or SSA?)

ANGERME

• Rina Graduation
• Aiai leaves
• Start making good songs again
• RISE of Musubu as a key element in the group.
• Dawa does not graduate
• 3 singles (because it is deserved)
• 7th Gen in Q4

Juice=Juice

• No one graduates
• No one gets added
• Second Album in Q1

Kobushi Factory

• A really good Shindan Test.
• 2nd album
• We get a lead on what the plan is with Hokkaido KSS
• None of my fave girls end up leaving.
• ALL of the above debut.

Tsubaki Factory:

-Graduation but I don't know the member, maybe Kiki

-New member(just one)

 

Reina Factory

-The idea is abandoned and she goes in a group(like Kobushi)

-Members are: Horie Kizuki, Maeda Kokoro, Nishida Shiori, Shimakura Rika, Yamazaki Yuhane and Hashimoto Momoko or Gotou Sayaka

 

-If Kobushi Graduation, a new group

[Fall]

I'm just gonna lay'em on the table.  Brace for impact.

 

Kobushi Factory

Transfers and concurrencies.  They will have a 5nin tour at the end of which, a too-stressed Ayapan will graduate, and it will be announced that "to enhance the various groups of Hello! Project" the members will be given the Country Girls treatment.  Inoue Rei will join J=J.  Wada Sakurako and Nomura Minami will join Angerme.  Hamaura Ayano will be announced as one of the 15th gen members of Morning Musume in December and join MM'19 on the new years eve concert.  Kobushi Factory will still exist on paper, but will only see digital releases once or twice a year at most, if at all.

 

Juice=Juice

Inoue Rei will join J=J, either with an accompanying KSS, or as the solo 3rd gen member.  Either Kanatomo or Yuka, or both, will graduate.

 

Angerme

Wada Sakurako and Nomura Minami join Angerme as 7th gen members.  Katsuta Rina and Sasaki Rikako will both graduate, though maybe not in the same tour, both citing modeling as their reasoning.  Aiai will either make a miraculous return or break our hearts, but I doubt we're made to wait any longer than the end of the H!P Winter concerts before we get news.  I don't think Ayacho will graduate Angerme in 2018, but if she does, I think she will remain in H!P, stay leader, and possibly join a new group that I'm going to mention later.

 

Tsubaki Factory

They just keep being awesome.  If there are complications from an injury, there may be a graduation (kiki no pls no) and I would be very sad, but I don't expect any graduations or new members otherwise.

 

Ichioka Factory

The name will be something better than Ichioka Factory.  I'm still hoping for Hype Train romanized as H!P Train, personally.  This will siphon 5+ of the current existing super KSS, but at least one of the obvious choices will be left out (Yuhane, Hikaru, etc.) and not make it into the group so that they can debut later in MM or J=J.

 

Sayashi Riho

She will make her return.  It will be glorious.  It may even be in a...

 

Surprise New Unit

There will be at least one new group announcement beyond Ichioka's unit, but likely just one.  This group may be an evolution of HKSS involving Inaba Manaka.  While less likely, it may be a power unit that eventually becomes a rotational group originally including Inaba Manaka, Sayashi Riho as mentioned above, possibly Ayacho, and...

 

Mitsui Aika

Aika won't be missing out on the excitement of all of the sweeping changes happening during H!P's 20th anniversary and will return in some capacity.  In whatever capacity she returns, I expect she will only be active for just a year before graduating from performances either as a soloist or in the above-mentioned group.  After she graduates, or even just instead of doing any performances at all, I suspect she may also take over MCs for...

 

Makoto

I think Makoto is probably nearing the end of his professional relationship with H!P.  I believe he may continue his duties with the KSS and Harocons, but likely announce his departure at some point before the new years eve concert and probably even be given a fair send-off either at the summer harocon or the near years show before his duties are taken over by someone still signed with H!P like Aika or Manaka.  Maybe even one of the ex-Berryz/C-ute members that are still under UF.

 

Morning Musume '18

Triple-graduation.  At least two of which will be from the 10th gen, but as likely, all 3 members.  If three people graduate in the same concert, Saitama Super Arena at the end of the fall tour with a mid-capacity setup.  If the graduations are split up between both the Spring and Fall tours, Yokohama Arena is the last venue in both tours.  The 15th gen members will be announced at the end of the fall tour in December.  These will be Hamaura Ayano, Gotou Sayaka, Hashimoto Momoko, and one of the current talented KSS that didn't make it into Ichioka's group.  They will join MM'19 in the new years eve concert... where Oda Sakura will announce her graduation for the end of the 2019 Spring Tour.

- Morning Musume become relevant enough to be on Music station, Mezamashi Live, and more end of year shows again.  X

- Tsubaki factory and give Kobushi a run for their money ✓

- Juice=Juice get 3 singles, focus more on getting their name out there through appearances, rather than constant live shows.  X

- 13th gen, 2nd gen tsubaki, and Momona become stars and solidify their place within their respective groups. ? They did solidify their place within the groups but i wouldn't say any of them are stars lol

- Ichioka Reina joins Angerme X

- Morning Musume and Angerme releases a 2 disk album  X

- the 2011 additions + JJ start to finally look like the eldest members of h!p, because they will be half way through the year. ✓

- NO group gets a single as bad as the mm 58th single ✓

- NO group gets an outfit as bad as mm laundry bag outfits. ✓

- MM get outfits that i won't cringe at when i see them perform on TV. ✓

- ANGERME GETS TO PERFORM ON TV ALONGSIDE MM, IT'S LONG OVERDUE.  X

- MORE IDOL SONGS PLEASE I LIKE THE CUTE SONGS LIKE PYOKO PYOKO ULTRA. DO IT. ? Waratte and Dokyu Go Sign was very "idolly" but not as "cute" as i was going for.

- 2 members graduate MM.  X

- No member line up changes for J=J, KF and TF. ? 1/3 ain't bad lol. 

 

Dreams (dreams are dreams for a reason........ )

- Maachan, Haruna, Ayacho, Rina, Murotan, and Maho get a photobook. ? 2/6... slow and steady lol

- New Duo or Trio unit  X

- MM and Angerme perform in Yokohama Arena without any graduation concert. X

- MM perform ONLY songs from 2011 onwards until their 20th anniversary show. I want them to fully show that THIS is the new MM once and for all.  X

- All the groups make at least a 20-50k increase in their single sales. X

- H!P keep up the "theme's" of each group. MM the "it" group, Angerme cool group, J=J weird group, CG idolly group, KF entertainment group, TF ballad?? group please.  X

- KSS make regular singles with rotational centers. X

- H!P concerts at Saitama Super Arena or H!P arena mini tour (i really think that H!P has enough fans to sell out an arena. if c-ute can do it on their own..)  X

- New group similar to Keyakizaka46. That my friends, is what you call a dream. X

 

Fears (the fears all have an X to show it didn't happen, which is great for me!) 

- Ayacho doesn't become H!P leader (nothing against Mizuki, but i just really want wada to take the thrown lol)  X

- Mizuki doesn't graduate at least until her first generation as leader (12th gen had time with sayu before she left) settles in.  X

- Tsubaki continues to fall behind Kobushi.  X

- Juice=Juice never rises from the ashes management threw them in. X

- Another girl graduates due to health reasons. It's sad every time.  X

And now for 2018!

 

Prediction

- H!P release a digital album with the newest songs of each group and some unit songs.

- Morning Musume achieve 100k first day sales on Oricon again, and break 200k sales on Billboard.

- Morning Musume don't add any new members this year, but announce new auditions for new members to start in 2019.

- Sakura, Mizuki, Masaki and Ayumi continue to be front liners, but Maria, Chisaki, Miki, and Reina will be heavily pushed too. 

- Maachan finally agree's to a photobook after gaining confidence in her looks.

- Two members graduate from Morning Musume (probably Ayumi and Haachin). 

- Angerme will continue to have rotational centers for each A-side. 

- Angerme will release an album. 

- Murotan, Kamiko and Funakki will take on stronger lead positions, but Momona and Ayano will gain lots of popularity. 

- Maho returns to Angerme, but someone else will graduate from the group at the end of the year (probably Take). Maho Graduated before 2018 even began welp. 

- Juice=Juice will focus on digital releases, having only one physical triple A-side and 2 digital singles. 

- Country Girls will release digital singles and one physical release every spring/summer. Concerts will become a rarity.

- Kobushi factory continue as 5 then add new members at the end of the year.

- Kobushi factory will have 2 singles.

- Tsubaki factory continue to have a successful year.

- Ichioka Reina's group will be the "tokyo" version of the Hokkaido KSS, similar to the factories, and both will release digital singles. 

 

Hopes

- Morning Musume perform at Yokohama arena. 

- Angerme holds a "world" tour stopping at 5 countries (1 for each continent).

- Juice=Juice will release lots of photobooks from Karin, Akari, and either Ruru or Nanami.

- Kobushi and Tsubaki have a collaboration digital single.

- Kobushi Factory add 1 more member and shuffles the member colors. 

- Tsubaki gains more success in japan and becomes the third most popular group in H!P.

 

Fears

- Ponpon graduate from Morning Musume together/this year.

- One member graduates from Tsubaki Factory and Juice=Juice.

- Country girls go on an indefinite hiatus after Ozeki or Yamaki leave the group.

- Management "solves" the Kobushi problem by having some Tsubaki members join Kobushi, bringing both groups to 7 members each.

- More scandals from other groups.
