Nijimasu participated in Idol Yokocho Natsumatsuri 2018 in Yokohama Redbrick Warehouse 

 

Day 1

setlist

- COLORS

- Twilight

- ChapuChapa

 

Twilight is a very demanding song, because the dance move is very different on what the usual Nijimasu had

luckily, this doesnt affected their performance on Chapu Chapa, their new flagship song (they released their CD single here)

 

 

 

Day 2

- Masquerade Nemuranai

- Chapu Chapa

- B-Dash

 

this setlist is almost identical with their performance in Idol Yokocho 2017, without the Chapu Chapa and B-Dash

the vocals are quite good in day 2

I feel like it's likely that JAM Expo will be live streamed. I think last year Sekigahara wasn't streamed either :/

hmm.... i found this pic from twitter acc @nijihikoushojo while i was searching for news from Asakura Shion

 

apparently she is now joining the idol group Niji Iro no Hikou Shojo

 

i cant find anything about this group, since the account is created on July 2018

That's interesting...

does that mean she left the group cause she didn't think Nijimasu would make it big? 

 

Usually if a member leaves a group to join another one, I can't help but think 

1. they think the group won't last

                     or

2. they didn't get along with the other members

 

I don't think it's 2...but I don't nijimasu was doing THAT bad.

yeah, i think Nijimasu is doing better in this year, new singles, nation-wide solo concerts, and recognition from idol community in the form of performing at every major idol events in Japan

 

the first reason when Shion graduating in March is to concentrate in study (for preparation to go college) but in April she joined Platinum Pro agency (parent agency to the Nijimasu's Platinum Pixel) with the goal of being an actress

but in 27th June, she tweeted that she is ready to become an idol again, and..... the group was born

 

i dont think that Shion had some trouble with management or another member, so maybe she didnt think that Nijimasu gonna survive 2018, maybe....

New MV for Nijimasu new single [Hana ichi monme] is released today !!!

 

while the MV is a usual low budget Nijimasu style, the music and dance is a rather departure

 

Hanaichi monme is a traditional Japanese children game, where two groups of children split into two groups, and the members of each group hold hands, so that the teams face each other in two lines. One group steps toward the other in the rhythm of a song that is used only for the game, and the other steps back so that the team lines remain parallel. In each phrase of the song, the team that is stepping back changes, and the team creates a move that associates a swing
