Several UUG(2) members are listed among the selected performers for the special TIF2019 stage "Berryz Kobo Daisuki Special! ~Natsuyaki Miyabi (PINK CRES.) & BEYOOOOONDS & TIF Selected Special Collab~".
It did seem like the real competition was going to come down to who impressed outside of those two or who showed interesting potential. I didn't see Niina coming, but I'm sure it won't be long before I'm glad someone in the office did. Now we'll just need to see where the rest land, or if they somehow end up back under the UF banner somewhere else.
Today is that day and right now is that time. I had been appreciating her quite a bit more recently, but her performance in the MV really puts her over the top.
UF's MV game has also been excellent this month. After the quality H!P gave us with the BEYOOOOONDS debut, I wasn't expecting UF to also impress so much with the UUG2 video. The song is also the best that I think Tsunku has been able to give us in quite a well, so it's no wonder he was so eager for everyone to hear it. Once I finish looping it, the playlist is definitely getting another slot for Be lonely together.
So the new song did not disappoint me. I feel like this song is classic Tsunku. "4th most attractive girl in the class" protagonist trying to capitalize on love with her heart broken love interest who likely has no interest in her outside of this moment of weakness of a breakup, that relaxed tempo (not quite fan chant speed), and his unique vocal arrangement. I certainly will be buying this single. I just hope the michitomo tracks on the B-side don't disappoint.
So it sucks only seeing 3 original members in this video... it really sucks, but the generations are kinda even now. Its clear who the office is pushing in the MVs. I like the psudo-narrative shots mixed with the up close shots, I am excited to see the dance routine for this song tho. The simple matching outfits also fits the tsunku flavor in my opinion, I can imagine a woman dressed like that telling her love interest that I love you... lets be alone together. I could not imagine a super hot woman in glitter clothing, exposing her hot body saying those kind of words. So I feel it matches well.
Favorite scene is when they go in and out of the hallways and a different girl is in the doorway saying the chorus. I love the idea of the shot!
I have to say Niina has experienced the biggest change in my mind since she debuted. Not that I didn't like her or thought she wasn't good enough. I just did not see her charms. Her face might be the most beautiful of all the girls in the group. She was GORGEOUS in this Music Video and in the end where she cracks that tear... just poetry.
Honestly my only critique is more of a fan gripe then anything else, Why so little Chiiko? I know why, but fan outrage mode requires my comment...
For the moonlight night cover... first off, excellent song, second off Ho-chan is on another level. I hope that girl does not leave the group because her appeal is multiplying. She was cute when she debuted, but as she ages, shades of beautiful are poking through That girl might be a true belle when she grows up. But for now her dancing is so expressive and explosive. I feel like her moves were so crisp and it is really hard to take my eyes off her when she is dancing. I can not explain it, but she is by far my favorite dancer in the group. She comes off as this cute little girl, but when she dances she becomes a martial artist...

A shuffle group name Team Princess, released a song recently. The shuffle unit is composed of Kakko Kari's Sekine Azusaand kakko nikki's Hashimura Riko and Nakagawa Chihiro.

So I want to especially thank Ruel for doing the lord's work in this thread.
But I have been meaning to put my thoughts about UUG(2) for a while... I find them so interesting because I get to see them grow and I would like to be an idol producer in the future and watching their journey is instructive.
I am so proud these girls got to stand on the stage at yokohama arena. They deserve that. I hope they can keep the forward momentum. I am starting to feel so bad. I just bought like 3 morning musume blu-rays, but I have not bought a single UUP(2) single... I am being a bad fan. I gotta support the girls the best I can.
The more I listen to be lonely together live, the more I feel it was not written with the girls in mind. It really strikes me as a late era Berryz song that H!P never accepted. The girls do not have the range for the song, they are literally shouting the whole song. I fuggin love the song tho. One of my favs.
I feel that Tsunku gets alot of attention with production with the girls, but michitomo is no slouch. I think he deserves a bit more praise... He has done a lot of great music besides ni on ashi dancing...
So I was going to do a blow by blow on the girls, but instead I will just comment again, as I always do on Ho-chans over-bearing power. She is a boss in mook clothing. Her power level is above everyone else in the group (in my opinion, of course) and has the morning musume Maa-chan type of popularity (not the center, but super popular). Her dancing is top tier, like one of the best and most crisp idol dancers I've seen, she has powerful movements and makes it look effortless. Plus her cute factor is off the charts... when that girl gets like 16 or 17 she is gonna break ALOT of hearts, I can tell. If she keeps growing and gets legs that rival UUP(2)'s Maa-chan, then it may just be a wrap... Naturally her weakest attribute is her singing and no idol ever became legendary without a singing voice. But still Ho-chan is the truth...
Visually the group is really strong, half the girls are textbook certified hotties, some like Kaji play flex roles like genki girl and musician chick. Some like my darling chiiko are less appreciated, but the group is poised to make some waves if they just keep moving forward.
I'm hoping they do a song with Ayacho, the consummate leggy brunette. I hope they can learn from her.
