She explains that she cried when she wasn't chosen to join BYD. Matsunaga comforted her. 

She says that hearing JJ and BYD's songs in stores motivates her even more and that she wants to be able to stand on stage with them.

Ichigo requested to end her training activities and leave Hello Pro Kenshuusei. She will no longer appear at the Shindan Test event in May.

^ I thought it genuinely felt like she had a decent chance at a debut with all chances coming up too. And Shindan Test was just right around the corner, I was really looking forward to her performance this year.

 

I hope she enjoys whatever she goes on to do.

This is so abrupt considering:
- She made it past the time period where KSS usually announce their departure.
- Performed as recently as last week.
- Had her song picked out for the test as well.

Leaving clearly wasn't in mind this soon: I'm thinking either her parents pulled her out last minute, or they announced the new additions to the H!P KSS unit amongst the kenshuusei (similar to Juice=Juice), and that's what pushed her to withdraw. Either way, I hope she's doing well, and wish her luck in her future.

I wonder if it had to do with her just entering high school a few weeks ago. Maybe the schedule conflicts with her activities, or maybe she/her parents thought it was time for her start focusing on how to achieve her career plans after graduation.
