Although the kanji has been telling us Rika's surname is "Shimakura" it turns out that when you translate that to romaji it's actually "Shimamura." Can you believe a high-profile magazine could screw up like this?

Google Translate and DeepL both translate it as Shimakura.

My Japanese isn't very good, but during her Limista signing with Honoka I think she brought up that her name is sometimes mistaken for Shimamura. (At :0:59 in the video, because I can't figure out how to get the embedded video to start at that time...)

^ For context, she was part of Marty's article series dealing with Heisei-born idols and Showa music. They discussed the opening song of Eiichi Ohtaki's 1981 album "A LONG VACATION". Marty had never listened to his music before, but points out a bunch of western influences (mentions a lot of artists by name). Rika's a fan of Ohtaki and listens often; she even started listening to the Beach Boys because of him.
