Morning Musume 17's 63rd single, releasing on March 8th. Will feature 13th gen. Sato Masaki is only featured on the B-sides for this single (Morning Miso shiru, Get you!). This is the first single since the 56th to feature B-sides.

YES I'm so excited!! I didn't think I would be still in Japan for another MM single! Super sad that Maa-chan isn't in it, but she should rest properly and 13ki should get their debut single.
I love that they included "Morning" in the title because of the anniversairy. Kind of weird that it's only a double A though, or will they announce another title later?

Maachan's absence from this is concerning, though it can't be helped with her health issue. But couldn't they have waited for her to heal?

Honestly, if they waited until she healed, they wouldn't have released a single until June. This is really important for 13th gen because it'll give them the exposure they need, they just can't put it off. At least we know she's not graduating (yet).

How do I need to see the absence? Since Aika also was injured during a few singles, but still featured.

General Speak: Right now I'm just hoping Jealousy Jealousy doesn't contain a line like Sou Janai in the lyrics where they just boredly sing the song title. At least spice it up by having them do it in a funny way or something if you're going that route Up Front. I can't handle hearing "Je-ra-shi-i, Je-ra-shi-i" in the same way we got "So-ou-ja-nai, So-ou-ja-nai"

oh .. a double A instead of the usual triple A .. I wonder if there is going to be a side B ..
anyway .. its about time .. I don't think they should be like releasing only 2 singles a year ..
at least in early March would makes a higher chance of having at least 3 singles this year ..

^x2 Yeah. Like say 1 single in March, 1 in July or August, and 1 in November or December.

General Speak: About Masaki, it's sad, but if she manages to make a full recovery and come back and last a few more years because of an uninterrupted recovery period rather than a few months because they did interrupt her recovery period, it will have been a smart move on Up Front's part. I also have to wonder if Masaki's parents and doctors have not been the ones with the final say about it all. She might very well have been arguing that she's well enough to be included in this single, but have gotten overruled by her parents and doctors and then there's Up Front who probably can't contest her participation unless her contract with them says it's up to them to decide if she's up for this rather than her parents/guardians and/or the doctors caring for her.

I can't believe they won't even let Maachan sing in the songs or anything?? It seems weird but I guess I understand. 

 

I'm actually really happy this is a double A side and not triple. I think UF has been going overboard with the triple A sides so now I have higher hopes for a more well rounded single. The titles sound interesting Im excited to know what kind of songs they are.

Seems like Morning Musume doesn't have any luck when it comes to debuting new generations... 9th generation had their single delayed because of the earthquake, 12th generation had Kanon injury (and Karin replacing her incident  ) and now 13th generation has Masaki absence...which will probably hurt the group a bit... They are probably testing the water to see public reaction to her absence... if the worst happens

^Yes, because Sato Masaki's absence, a girl with limited popularity among the general public will definitely hurt the group in ways the absence of Sayashi Riho their ace, face, and center all in one, and Michishige Sayumi a decade plus veteran of the group, hasn't.

I find it kinda weird Maachan isn't going to even record for this single... but I want to trust the people behind the decision and just wish for Maachan to be able to come back with full power later this year.

On another note, I'm so happy for a March single! Usually March is ruled by 48G in the idol releases, so this is very good news. And fans don't have to wait that long either

And since the 15th album is long overdue right now, double A-side single is a good thing. The unbalance between singles and new songs on the next album will still be massive.

BRAN NEW MORNING sounds like name of  cheap clothes... I don´t like it at all, I´m suspicious Tsunku is the one who composed this one... Sexy cat became on of my favs songs so I will give him the benefit of doubt
