For 2017
Hopes:

- Country Girls gets a live tour with bigger venues
- Kaedi and Reina perform Suki na Senpai
- PROPER celebration for the 20th anniversary of H!P
Not related to H!P directly but:

Dreams:
- Maachan PB
- Oharu PB
- One Two Three is not included in MM's tours' setlist
Fears:
- Someone from 10ki announces graduation
- Katsuta Rina announces graduation
- MM only releases a best of album with singles only
- Maachan's vocals don't improve and only get worse
- Akane gains weight and is hated on (the hate is already happening)
- Tsubaki doesn't improve / gets bad songs as singles
^ iirc 2017 will be the 20th anniversary of Morning Musume。 What would become Hello!Project and was just named "Hello!" in the beginning was created in 1998.
End-of-the-year polls are now closed! Results on the links below:
Succesful year for JJ. They're overdue for THEIR year. (Anju got this year ,2014 is open to interpretation (I vote berryz), C-ute was 2013, MM in 2012, etc.) Having tons of concerts and doing everything that comes with a TV show might make it harder to release more songs but I think their up for the task
A MM graduation to shake things up. Perhaps a 10th gen in the spring coincidentally before they'd break 9th gens record
Ikuta Erina photobook (IT WILL HAPPEN)
A few already added girls thrown into the front girl mix
More singles
Tsubaki debuts well enough to create a Kobushi/Tsubaki rivarly
A really good MM album
No new JJ members
ANGERME keeps their momentum
Me being able to find the missing ANGERME selection album songs
We get to see Maho break out in someway. I love her but shes very basic sometimes (a lot of the time) on one hand thats what makes her unique as an idol because everything about her is basic (this isn't an insult)
Dreams
MM or ANGERME concert near me (kind of came true but i didn't go)
A new unit that isn't a factory with 7 kenshuusei (Reina, Kurumi, Kizuki, Hikaru and Saori are musts)
Yanagawa Nanami isn't overshadowed by Funaki Musubu
We see the TGL band do something
More Rina-lead stuff in ANGERME
Hirose Ayaka doing events like Sakura has
MM stops naming concert tours after color related terms (I'm very happy about this)
Nightmares
A single as tragic as the 58th single
More dance teams (the single ones not like dance club)
C-ute disbands by the end of the year
ANGERME member graduations
I'll probably add more to this later but this was my third time trying to compose a post like this
Hopes/Dreams
MM'17
If theres going to be another awful dance team song I think it's time a 12th gen member is added to it. I'm open to any member being on it
A new Mizuki photobook
3 singles (a dream) and an album
A graduation
A really good 20th anniversary
Reina for red and Kaede for green
1 EDM song per single max
C-ute
10th proper album
1 more single
A nakky photobook
ANGERME
2 singles and an album
More Momona
More amazing songs
Juice=Juice
A 2nd album I'm still so mad they didn't announce one at their Budokan
no more 10/8 month gaps in their release schedule. Now that they're officially an ~established~ group I think they need to release more frequently
a continued stable line up
Country Girls
3 singles
Kanatsu Mizuki joins on their 3rd anniversary
an album
Momoko's graduation is amazing
Kobushi Factory
More iconic singles
More lines for the back girls
More sport concepts
NO GRADUATIONS
Tsubaki Factory
Iconic debut
Diverse good music
3 singles
H!P
New unit of older girls (with maybe Suzuki Airi as like a Momoko to Country Girls (Kizuki, Ayano, Takase Kurumi, Kokoro, Ruru, Reina)
Maybe they can hold off until 2018 but ANOTHER new unit consisting of younger girls (Noguchi Kurumi, Momohime, Sakiko, Kotomo, Shiori, Marie)
(My logic for 2 new groups is because same with Berryz I feel like management wants to get back the profits so adding 2 groups makes it easier and pays off in the long run(
A new mobekimasu (might hold off until 2018 because that's H!P's 20th annviersary)
Chisato and Maimi become H!P advisors
Nightmares
My faves (besides Nakky) graduate)
Something else bad happens to Country Girls
13th gen flop
someone who is NOT kanatsu mizuki in country girls (see point 2)
-Angerme continue to give MM a run for their money ✓ and they did so even after one of their best performers graduated. angerme did well this year.
-C-ute separates themselves from the idol image and becomes Artists within H!P. X well they definitely separated themselves from their idol image lol
-Juice=Juice make a comeback from this disastrous year. ? kinda? they didn't do as horribly as 2015, but they're still no where near how they were in 2013/4. gonna go with maybe.
-Country Girls continue to produce catchy songs that are played all over Tokyo. ? wasn't as bit as gomen ne, but they did produce catchy songs.
-Morning Musume'16 are stronger than ever after Riho graduates, I want them to have the aura they had after Reina left, full of confidence. X ehh, i think they performed with confidence, but the members always found a way to show us how worried or anxious they are about mm as a group and them as idols, especially after riho and zukki left. they need to have more confidence if they want to be stronger.
-Tsubaki Factory develop into great performers so they don't look inferior to Kobushi Factory. X lol
-There is at least 2 songs from H!P that are complete hits in japan (the closest we got this year was Gomen ne and Taiki Bansei) X loooool
-Morning Musume and Angerme performs on Mezamashi live summer fest. ?? wait, did this even happen???
-Any H!P act attends Idol!Fes ✓ yay lol
-Haruna, Maho, and Ayaka make Fashion Photobooks. X sigh
-Masaki, Eripon, Ogata, Maria, Meimi, Murotan, Yuka, Chisaki, and Yamaki get a photobook ✓ Yayy for Eripon and Maria!
Dreams
-New Hello!Project drama or Variety show loool X
-KobuTsu achieve 100k sales in total for the year ✓ Combined, yes, which is good lol
-Country Girls, Angerme and C-ute surpass 80k sales for their singles X lol, thanks oricon
-Morning Musume finally achieve 175k and then 200k sales for their singles X i need to stop being so optimistic.
-Any H!P group to release an Album achieves at least 20k sales X sigh
-The Girls start to receive solo opportunities outside of their group work and H!P to properly prepare them for the future X sighhhhh
-Morning Musume or C-ute make Kouhaku X lmao i really need to stop being optimistic.
-Morning Musume, C-ute, Angerme, Ju=Ju, and Country Girls make FNS, Music Station, Music Japan end of year shows ✓2/5 is okay i guess lol
these were hopes and dreams for a reason lol
LOL And now for 2017!
Hopes
- Angerme rises in popularity with the general public.
- Country girls add a new member to compensate Manaka and Momochi
- Momochi and C-ute get amazing graduation concerts.
- Morning Musume become relevant enough to be on Music station, Mezamashi Live, and more end of year shows again.
- Tsubaki factory and give Kobushi a run for their money
- Juice=Juice get 3 singles, focus more on getting their name out there through appearances, rather than constant live shows.
- 13th gen, 2nd gen tsubaki, and Momona become stars and solidify their place within their respective groups.
- Ichioka Reina joins Angerme
- Morning Musume and Angerme releases a 2 disk album
- the 2011 additions + JJ start to finally look like the eldest members of h!p, because they will be half way through the year.
- NO group gets a single as bad as the mm 58th single
- NO group gets an outfit as bad as mm laundry bag outfits.
- MM get outfits that i won't cringe at when i see them perform on TV.
- ANGERME GETS TO PERFORM ON TV ALONGSIDE MM, IT'S LONG OVERDUE.
- MORE IDOL SONGS PLEASE I LIKE THE CUTE SONGS LIKE PYOKO PYOKO ULTRA. DO IT.
- 2 members graduate MM.
- No member line up changes for J=J, KF and TF.
Dreams
- Maachan, Haruna, Ayacho, Rina, Murotan, and Maho get a photobook
- New Duo or Trio unit
- MM and Angerme perform in Yokohama Arena without any graduation concert.
- MM perform ONLY songs from 2011 onwards until their 20th anniversary show. I want them to fully show that THIS is the new MM once and for all.
- All the groups make at least a 20-50k increase in their single sales.
- H!P keep up the "theme's" of each group. MM the "it" group, Angerme cool group, J=J weird group, CG idolly group, KF entertainment group, TF ballad?? group please.
- KSS make regular singles with rotational centers.
- H!P concerts at Saitama Super Arena or H!P arena mini tour (i really think that H!P has enough fans to sell out an arena. if c-ute can do it on their own..)
- New group similar to Keyakizaka46. That my friends, is what you call a dream.
Fears
- Ayacho doesn't become H!P leader (nothing against Mizuki, but i just really want wada to take the thrown lol)
- Mizuki doesn't graduate at least until her first generation as leader (12th gen had time with sayu before she left) settles in.
- Tsubaki continues to fall behind Kobushi.
- Juice=Juice never rises from the ashes management threw them in.
- Another girl graduates due to health reasons. It's sad every time.
Shameless promotion lol, but don't forget to vote for your favorite member in the H!O general election 2016 (link in signature), and the H!O Top song poll!
Morning Musume annouces auditions for 14th gen and adds Danbara Ruru + one other girl (without restarting auditions)
Morning Musume releases at least two singles with at least one good EDM track on each
Kamikokuryou Moe keeps on growing (skillwise ) and becomes one of their main performers
The members of JUICE=JUICE become more appealing to me
Country Girls gets a 3rd gen (1 or 2 members), integrating well and making the group stronger
Country Girls shifts back a bit in the direction of cutesy style, but still keeps it very retro
The songs of Country Girls get more appealing to me
Funaki Musubu finally gets to sing a solo in a HaroCon or Hina Matsuri concert
Funaki Musubu releases a photobook
Kobushi Factory makes a cool MV for Zanshin (with bows in action!)
Kobushi Factory continues to make music in the style of their current album
Hirose Ayaka releases a photobook
Tsubaki Factory's MV for "JUST TRY!" is really cool
Tsubaki Factory keeps on growing in performance skills, personality and appeal
Tsubaki Factory has a successful major debut
A new Kenshuusei unit annouced after Tsubaki Factory major debut and before °C-ute disbands ("in the spirit of °C-ute" = covering °C-ute songs in live performances)
Kenshuusei are featured more on H!P/UPF Youtube channels and TV shows (Hello Station, GNO, Upcoming, Girls Live)
Danbara Ruru, Ichioka Reina, Horie Kizuki, Takase Kurumi and Kawamura Ayano are debuting (or least some of them)
Kiyono Momohime debuts (although debuting in 2018 or 2019 instead might happen and would be understandable)
Fears for 2017:
°C-ute does have an other "scandal" before their graduation
No auditions for Morning Musume 14th gen or long auditions again, finshing in 2018
JUICE=JUICE disbanding or getting a second gen
Kanazawa Tomoko graduating due to health problems
Tsubaki Factory failing to establish as a major group
New Kenshuusei unit formed with less than three experienced Kenshuusei
^^^ Juice=Juice had a drama, a very successful Budokan concert (which had amazing set up) and their last single showed great numbers on Billboard so idk why people think the company hates them. Sure the western fandom doesnt see much of them, but that doesnt mean they dont do anything.
^ Some people like to make statements about the management and rate their business activities. Also those people tend to think that the management is solely responsable for everything happening like being invited to tv shows. IMHO those staments are rather pointless.
Sometimes good things are happening and sometimes things are not working out. Either way, the reasons are MUCH more complicated then "the company likes/dislikes the group".
I do not understand, why JUICE=JUICE could look bad from a fan perspective in regards to their success.
JUICE=JUICE did obviously very well in 2016 with a very long tour, a tv series and successful singles.

I know that they did stuff this year, but I'm talking solely about live TV appearances on shows like FNS and Music Japan. I don't think i've seen them on any of them this year. Even if they don't attend things like that, going to TIF would be so good for them and that's what i want to see more of next year.
^And yes, i'm gonna blame management for the lack of appearances on TV. You say the drama was successful but if you were to ask a random person on the streets of shibuya about the drama, they wouldn't know what you're talking about. I want to see J=J being recognized more within the general public because with their personality, i think they have the most potential out of any H!P group to do well with the general public. From a fan perspective, J=J did great, but i want J=J to be bigger than that, which is why i hope for J=J to do more next year.

Like every TV appearance either, except maybe from the big music shows.

^??? If they appear on a day time news show, a variety show, or any other live or non live broadcast, everyone watching at the time will know "this is juice=juice" because they would be introduced. With drama's, you only know who is acting in said drama when you take the time to research who the actor is. Morning Musume for example gets lucky when they appear on tv alongside a relevant artist or celebrity (for example, appearing on Music Station on the same week as AKB48, Kis-My-Ft2, Daichi Miura and Radwimps, or when they were on Sakigake! Music with TM Revolution) because it gives them an audience who may not have even bothered to check them out, but end up doing so because the groups appearance on the show brought them to attention. It makes a huge difference. And it doesn't even have to be a big show. Even if they just focused on appearing on shows for certain local areas, it would bring up their relevance to the general public within that area, which is still a great thing. Even solo appearances would do wonders for them, but I rarely see that happen.
So again, I hope i see J=J appear on tv a lot more next year. They need that boost.
^ Audience shares rarely go over 20%, so that's not as relevant as you think. Music Station is around 10%; primetime shows (primetime in Japan is 7pm-10pm) usually range from 7%-20%. Every show after midnight has a really low audience share, usually not exceeding 4%.
And the vast majority of the shows H!P appear in air after midnight, except from some music shows when they're invited.

Minaeshi's point was that the drama did nothing to promote the group Juice=Juice, not just because it wasn't that famous a drama but because they also went by a different name in the show. The only real press it got was from being attached to Tsunku.

But first and foremost because it wasn't a famous drama at all. It was more of a gap-filler than anything else.

Yossie does something. I know she had a baby recently but come on it can take care of itself by now surely.
Dream Morning Musume to come back, or at least more OG performances. There's GOT to be something awesome for the 20th anniversary.
They keep up the good MVs. The production value for all groups has really been stepped up, although of course it means we haven't see Curtain-san in a while. I hope Curtain-san is doing well.
We see something of Zukki. Not related to H!P, I know she's left completely (sob) but just some news of her from when she goes out with the other members and the odd photo would be nice.
A concert in Europe. MM would be preferable but I'll go see anyone who comes!
MM'17 -
A centre position for Harunan. Doesn't have to be a big singing part, you can do centres without them being the lead singer for the single
Kaede holds my interest and becomes my new oshi
They keep up this trend of everyone seeming to have at least one actual solo line in a single
GIVE US WAKACCHANAI
C-ute -
That their SSA show sells out and they have a great send-off. Not the biggest fan of C-ute but they deserve it.
They have an awesome final single and some kind of album.
All the members achieve whatever they wish in their lives after C-ute.
ANGERME -
They get back on their game more. Not that they've been bad this year, but last year I was blown away by them. Not so much this year (although that might just be me, I just haven't liked their singles as much this year).
Kanana leader (although that would mean Dawa graduating... which I don't really want... lol)
A Kanana led single. I want that deep voice all up in my ears.
KSS -
#RURU2K17
Fears:
H!P in general -
They make a mess of the 20th anniversary
MM'17 -
Harunan graduation
Fukuchan graduation
Another audition - save it for 2018 please. Unless it's Ruru then go ahead.
ANGERME -
Kanana grad (pls no)
Another member added (I keep forgetting the names of the 2 new members already give it a little time)
