I think it will be good if it's a double A side to have one song that is retro and one that isn't. Keep everyone happy that way. They definitely shouldn't just drop the retro thing. It's their distinctive style.

After Boogie Woogie Love, the musical, and the 4th single I'm ready for a break from retro. I'd rather hear songs that are more like their unreleased songs

Personally I love the 50s/60s style and long may it continue. But Koi wa Magnet had a vaguely 80s/Stock Aitken and Waterman feel and that's also a sound it would be interesting to hear more of

I like diversity (since it's doulbe A, one retro song and one song like their first single would be nice), but honestly, I don't care as long as the songs are good. And I looooove the titles.

^ I also would prefer diversity and really expect them to make both songs as different as "Dou Datte Ii no" and "Namida no Request".

 

Moving the style (of at least one song) in the direction of their "Gomen ne" songs or their unreleased songs is something I would appreciate.

If this happens, then it can still have retro style also, of course. At the moment "retro" is their signiture in my opinion, so I do not expect them to drop that.

The 80s idol style from their first single and the 80s technopop style from Koi wa Magnet suited them well. They have a few different directions at their disposal.

Yes, Koi wa Magnet is definitely one of their best works so far. I love the 80's/early 90's anime theme sound.

I'm amazed so many folk don't realize -all- of Country Girls's discography counts as "retro"

^OOOH that would be so cute!!! I can see it being like a 50's colourful and bright cafe... Maybe even one of those popular rollerskate waitress ones? I don't know if any of the girls can roller skate, though. But it would be cute to see them all as waitresses.

Has this been officially confirmed? I don't want to get excited for songs that aren't going to be released (I remember those b-sides that never happend for Momusu way back..)
