There was another big performance they did of this on New Year's TV though it included Hirano Nora as well. I'm really glad that it's giving the song a new lease of life because Oginome's 80s version is really amazing (a great example of a cover better than the original), the MV is also fantastic.

I discovered this Tavares song today, and it sounded suuuper familiar.

I was pretty sure it sounded like a Hiromi Iwasaki song, so I scanned through her discography and found the song!

I can't find any credits to Tavares on the internet for the song, so I think it might have been stolen.

 

I might be wrong and they actually did give them credit in the CD booklet, but whatever. Have a listen to both songs from the 00:24 mark.

Also TDC (their bubbly routine) and oginome chan were mentioned eariler in the thread and that song (dancing hero) is also a cover of a western song called eat you up. I prefer oginome's version tho. I like dancing hero... its one of my fav songs at the moment...
