Doesn't Ayacho have a few years of seniority over Fukumura? C-ute isn't the 'flagship' group, but Maimi got the role because of her seniority.

 

Don't forget that after Sayu's grad, Cute became senior to MM.

 

Anyways, the only reason for this discussion is because for some reason, even tho Angerme's major debut was before 9ki joined, MM is still senior atm.

 

I do hope that Ayacho gets it tho, like you said, she has 4 years of seniority over Fukuhime. The only thing it comes down to now is wich one they will chose over the other, group seniority or member seniority

Unless she has plans to quit any time soon, which I doubt given her statements, Wada will most definitely become H!P leader. There is no doubt here.

^^^ No offense, but Egg time doesn't mean anything in H!P and I'm a bit tired of seeing it pop up every time a discussion like this comes up.

Kana has as much seniority as Takechan. Karin isn't even leader of her own group despite being in the Project since her childhood and Yuka having joined just for the formation of J=J.

People are looking for rules and precedents for this, as if that matters? they already messed with there being a set order of this. I actually think this will now have more to do with the opinions of individuals, because that seems to be how we ended up with Maimi as H!P leader now

 

Also why is everyone assuming Momochi is out of the running? She'll still be part of H!P during the Winter H!P concerts and all H!P leader means really is you're last off during the concerts... oh and she might have to read a letter to herself at her graduation.

^ C-ute isn't disbanding until June though, and Makoto usually MCs the H!P tours anyway. C-ute won't be participating in H!P activities, but will still be part of H!P, so technically Maimi is leader until the very end I would think.

 

As for Aika... I read over the summer (was it in July?) she was going back to New Zealand to study English more, so she's pretty much on hiatus again and will be for the foreseeable future. I wouldn't be surprised if she is silently dropped from the H!P roster and ends up taking more of a staff role if/when she returns.

Makoto MCs regardless though, it's literally just who waves last and says thank you at the final curtain. That's how important H!P leader is in practical terms. So if they just don't have one, Mizuki will almost certainly be the last off anyway.

There really should be an option of 'don't care' as this title and position hasn't held much merit since Takahashi Ai took over for Nakazawa Yuko and this is coming from someone who thought Takahashi Ai did a pretty great job as Nakazawa Yuko's successor. I don't think it could've been easy for her to keep morale up and spirits high during the tail end of the "dark ages" of H!P.

Realistically speaking, the leadership would go to Momoko since she's still part of Hello Project and has way more seniority than all the other girls mentioned.

If there's one thing where you can be almost sure there'll be no plot twist or surprising decision, it is the H!P Leader thing.
