I don't imagine there to be a lot of gamers in this forum, but it's definitely worth it to ask.
Any Overwatch players out here?
Would like to possibly play with you all or just talk about the game in general!

WOT Oh my god so many fellow players. You guys don't understand how happy I am. I didn't expect to get any replies. ;___;
Looks like a lot of Support and Tank players but WHO CARES. Play what you like. It took me a couple of months to try out other heroes to figure out that I enjoyed them as well. As someone mentioned, I think it's a great idea to be able to play 1 hero per class. Makes you flexible! But idk, there's always gonna be a hero you love playing, and for me that's Mei. Playing the ice demon is fun. haha
Let's play!
So I'm not sure what servers you all play from, but I play on the NA one. If possible, I'd like to play with you guys! Post up your battlenets so we can connect. Or add me musuney#1337 (my battlenet number is luckily super easy to remember) and let's team up and play for fun. I'm honestly sooo giggly and excited that some of you guys play! So happy~
On another note, is anyone following the Sombra ARG?
Also, AikawaMahoFTW, any advice on how to play Ana? I'm terrible at her. Or maybe that's because my aim sucks. But stuff like when to use her heal grenade or sleep dart... Or positioning. I just keep dying when I use her.

Another fan of Overwatch here!
I try to get to know all the heroes, but the heroes that I really like and sometimes play a lot of are as following:
- McCree, Soldier: 76, Pharah, Junkrat, Mei, Roadhog, Zarya, Zenyatta. So I try to be flexible when playing.
My PC's GPU is fine, however my CPU suck, so my frame rate is not what I'd like it to be (35-60fps). When I can I will upgrade my PC, and the goal is 300fps on a 144hz monitor.
What I really would recommend to everybody who loves this game, whether on console or on PC, is to pay a little attention to what the top players do. When you play the game you will of course get a basic understanding of how things are done, but if you watch streams of top 500 players or pro players, you will learn so much in terms of strategy and tactics, situational awareness, positioning, and just play-style overall. And this will help you regardless of your level or rank.
As an example: I thought Zenyatta was a very intriguing hero, yet very squishy (at the time he only had 150HP). Then I started watching Seagull play Zenyatta for fun in competitive play, and I was amazed with just how busy he was, paying constant attention to the health bars of all of his teammates as well as trying to harm and kill as many enemies as possible. He was very aggressive and very active. Then I tried to emulate his play style, and of course I am nowhere near as good as him, but my results soared up almost instantly. I've gotten more MVP cards with him than any other hero as a result of studying pros.
Same if you're a McCree player: Check out pros like iddqd, Taimou, or aKm - watch how they move on the maps. Even if your accuracy is not as great as theirs, by knowing how to position yourself, you will get a lot more opportunities for making that one important shot that can change the course of the game.
For this I watch streams on Twitch, or clips on YouTube. Then I also watch pro tournaments, which is very fun.
I have no idea how much people follow "the scene" or not, but if you want to learn, learning from the best helps, so here's a few channels that you might find interesting:

Nice to hear that others enjoy the pro scene as well! I have no dreams of becoming a pro myself, but I get a lot out of watching what the pros do.
If I were to play against Seagull I don't think I would tilt, but I would definitely sigh extremely loud... Probably laugh too... If he was on my team however I'd probably be really nervous actually. First, it could be fun to see if you'd be able to strike up some useful synergy, but mostly I think there's a chance you think "I must not let him down I must not let him down..."
There was one moment in the EnVyUs vs. Misfits finale in Atlanta that was awesome from a support perspective: on attack King's Row, after an intense battle - primarily centered around Talespin on Pharah - EnVyUs got killed, except chipshajen, who was hiding on the 2nd floor, and then flew out over the main cap point, "HEROES NEVER DIE!!", and resurrected his team, followed by Talespin ulting on Misfits, and then they capped the point. The crowd was cheering loudly at this, and it was pretty cool. I think if production can showcase more what support actually does, viewers can get to see some amazing stuff.
Regarding Blizzard and hero balancing, there are certain issues and I am not a fan of all of them. Soldier: 76 for example got nerfed so hard he's only used in extremely rare situations. Symmetra is pretty much useless. Pharah is also a very niche pick (and if Soldier: 76 will get buffed again as he is now in PTR, Pharah will struggle even more), and Mercy as support is a too high risk choice when there's Lucio, Zenyatta, and in particular Ana to choose from.
I think Blizzard needs to introduce more heroes and not spend so much time on useless ARG's. And also accept that certain heroes will never see daylight in more competitive play. Everything cannot be 100% equal. But they should at least try to balance them as best as possible.
Oh well, I just want more maps and more heroes (this discussion is interesting: https://www.reddit.c...really_need_is/ )

Genji Seagull is savage. On another note, Thailand's extremely aggressive. Their match with China was pretty close and thrilling.

I watched most of the matches, and I think USA should be able to defeat Germany. Russia is the strongest team in that group, due to only having pros and USA vs. Russia will be very interesting. They need to stop ShaDowBurn when he's on Genji, because he's a monster.
South Korea had their way with Australia so hard, it was almost painful to watch. On Eichenwalde, they picked Junkrat, Symmetra, and Torbjörn on defense solely as troll-picks, not due to strategy. And they even gave their nanoboost to Symmetra of all heroes, just for shit n giggles, and Australia still couldn't cap first point. Before this, South Korea attacked by using a Bastion - that wasn't even pocketed by Mercy and Reinhardt - and they still rolled over Australia.
Sweden vs. Brazil was another slaughter, and here is chipshajen on Ana, stopping the only good player from Brazil, soulive, who ulted as Genji when he got the nanoboost:

Looking forward to the rest of the matches!

Thailand's NZNR's my new Mei idol. I'm a bit sad they couldn't get in --- or rather, get out of groups. That 3-way tie at the end was a bit unexpected. I thought for sure China would win over France but France stepped up the plate. I honestly thought China and Thailand would make it out. I'm so bummed out Thailand couldn't make it. However, the USA vs Russia match was pretty amazing. Seagull and Shadowburn dueling it out. Gods picked off Shadowburn a couple of times but I guess that wasn't enough. And I thought Talespin was doing pretty well with Tracer but I guess Unfixed switching it off to Tracer as well caused problems for Team USA. Good matches nevertheless though. South Korea pretty much dominated in their group though. I'm not sure what Finland did wrong... but it just looked like South Korea overwhelmed them.
And speaking of South Korea, this bracket looks pretty spicy. USA got the short end of the stick... haha
My win predictions are... Russia, Finland, South Korea, Sweden

The USA-Russia match was ridiculous. If anybody here who plays Overwatch has never seen an actual pro match before, then you absolutely have to watch this:
https://www.twitch.t...087?t=02h48m50s
As for Finland, it looks to me like at least a couple of the players - Hymzi in particular (who is a Roadhog god) played a bit nervously. Taimou for what it's worth carried that entire team. The stuff he's capable of doing on McCree... Unfortunately you can't solo carry on this level.
I think your predictions are quite spot on, but these aren't hard to guess. In terms of which team can pull out an upset, Spain is the most likely one. Does USA have a chance? Yes, they have a chance. But they will have to perform at their absolute lifetime best. Everyone will have to make everything they do work immediately, because the South Korean team is just too good.

Welcome! It looks like me and Krusha are mostly the ones doing the talking haha, but feel free to join in. I miss the days when they didn't limit 1 hero on competitive and we'd go 6 DVa on any control map and would quickly win.
Have only played with Skyrockets so far. Would love to play with you too Krusha! You seem very knowledgeable about the game.
