 Surprised that Sugai didn't sell out and that Miyu, Habu, and Aoi didn't sell out any slots this round. Everything else is as expected. Uemura doing well is nice to see but i wonder if she can keep up with the pace or if she'll fall behind a little. I hope Nijika gets to sell out 4 slots with this single.

I for one am so delighted by this formation! (im gonna just copy and paste what i wrote on s48 lol) 

 Management have managed to successfully rotate the girls in a way that makes sure none of them feel like they've lost out, yet at the same time none of the girls have been promoted. The girls who have been moved to the front are the ones who i think management is worried about.

To me, the front girls consist of the girls who management expected to do better than they are right now (expect techi). They could have put Nijika, Uemura, or Habu at the front, but i think management believes they are members who, although not as popular, still bring a presence to the group and could easily have a rise in popularity at any second with a little push. The girls that were chosen to be at the front don't have this presence or personality to make this happen on their own. It's the reason why Suzumoto was overshadowed by the rest of the front row in Silent Majority, and why Akanen doesn't have the same amount of popularity as Sugai despite them being a management planned pairing, both girls who were pushed the same way as the other girls, yet didn't work out as well as management planned.

Then we have the 2nd row who are filled with popular members who a casual fan would recognize. They're not at the front, but they will surely get screen time in MV's and performances due to their sheer popularity. It's something that I think every idol group should do whenever there is a huge gap in popularity between the members (for example NMB, if they rotated the groups center and front row instead of keeping the formation the same for almost every single, the group would have much more popular members instead of just Sayanee and maybe Miru.) These girls don't lose anything by being in the second row. Instead, they are there as a foundation of the group. Fans of the girls in the 2nd row will have to look past the members of the 1st row to be able to see their favorites, and by doing this, it gives those fans a chance to notice the girls at front, the same girls who they may not have bothered to notice when they were watching their favorites in the front row. It also helps the girls in the 3rd row too, as those fans of the second row girls might be inclined to look further than their oshimen and into the 3rd row.

Then of course we have techi in the center, which is a good decision from management. You can take a gamble by putting the unpopular girls in the front row, but you can't be too brave. You have to play it safe by having your ace in the center so that casual viewers still recognize the group when they see "the girl from silent majority". Also, we know how Takahiro likes to choreograph the dances in a way that allows you to see all of the members, so we don't have to worry.

So overall, i'm completely satisfied with this lineup. For once, i'm happy about 48/46 management making such a drastic change in their group. I think this one will work.

One things for sure, there is a clear indication of who the unpopular members in the 1st gen are, and several 2nd gen members seem to be rising in popularity already. I think things will be very different in the next single, and this single will be the deciding factor on how the group progresses...will they stick to the 21 member 1st gen senbatsu, or will they switch it up?

I think "Futari" means "together"? And maybe "Saison" means "season"? I don't know...

Sony's been doing a good clean out on youtube, deleting almost every Futari Saison radio rip available lol. Some people have tried re-uploading but most of them are gone. Just yesterday I was talking to my sister about how if all the uploaded videos of the song merged their views together, the song would have over 2million views already. One video alone had 400,000 views lol. That's probably why they're deleting them all. I have a feeling the MV will be released this week because of it. The public feedback for the song is really good, most people I've seen on twitter (non fans/wota, non48/46 group idol fans etc) have said they really liked it. 

 

Anyway, i'm so excited for the MV, Nogi's latest single MV blew me away so my standards are high

 

also just putting this out there, but hustlepress releases really beautiful photos of the girls with one girl being featured on a weekly basis. like seriously, the photo's are stunning. Honestly, even the girls who you might personally feel doesn't look amazingly pretty, will look beautiful in these shots!
