i feel like she is slowly going to the front and is in overall a good position in the group (it could totally be worse lmao)
and while i know she isnt the best singer i do think they dont use her looks and personality to its full potential.
I also think her dancing skills are underrated, she is pretty good and management put a lot of
girls over her

^I agree, she's being pushed more than some others (I'd say she's above average in how much they utilise her) 

but the average is so low that that really isn't hard to reach and only 3 are being used to their full potential (sometimes even beyond what they can manage).

 

I do think MM's management is trying harder though, especially in concerts. Sakura, Fuku and Maa obviously get the most, probably followed by Chii-chan who has had two lead singles in a row now - with giving yoko duu's sexy cat position and akanechin is getting more lines - eripon is getting major dance parts, ayumin has at least 2 songs that are often played that are basically hers now, miki getting more lines and Maria owning the magazine appearances.

 

The only one - and correct me if i am wrong here - who is really not being utilised is Kaedii. I mean she's rather popular and she get's dance positions (i think?)... But like.. She has a pretty decent voice- at least above average in MM - she's a better singer than both Maria and Chii... where is she?

Yes, Reina is getting quite a bit in concerts, and I do agree with you Lalalaalala in your assessment of the girls. But to me, those areas do not help much in general. When you listen to a song, you are not seeing how good some members are at dancing, and you can't listen to magazines and photoshoots. Some fans can be thrilled about seeing them in concert, but most international fans can't. So it all comes down to solo lines in singles. And besides the main 3, only Chisaki and Miki get enough lines. 

 

I agree that Kaede is the only one who doesn't get nothing, and while it's sad... she's not a favorite of mine, so I don't mind it much... for now. I didn't like Erina much during her first years, but now, I love her, mostly because she isn't treated fairly in the group, so I feel sad, and feel like I need to like her. Maybe the same will happen for Kaede.

 

Reina needs to center a single, but I hope we don't have to wait long before that.

The Hello!Mobile Tanabata feature has the members writing down their wish for Tanabata and Yokoyama put for her wish "I want to spend every day having fun."

Oda Sakura's is "I wish Yokoyama spends her time having fun." They do these surveys in advance and it's around this time, a year ago, that Yokoyama's father passed away. Presumably this is why Oda put that for her wish.

I'm so happy for her, it probably means the first one sold well.
But i can't help to feel a bit sad since i haven't been able to even get the first one, but this is obviously good.

Nice! She's quite the looker so I'm really glad. I do have hopes for her to stay in higher to middle tier in terms of popularity, like Ayumi. Her getting another photobook reassures this.
