[Blu-Cherri]

Kamiyado (神宿)
The Kami(divine/god) comes from 神宮前 (Jingūmae) which is a district in Shibuya and Jingūmae 1 chōme to 4 chōme is where Harajuku is. The 'yado' comes from the Kanji for harajuku(原宿)

So a combination of Jingūmae and Harajuku. Yado can also mean 'lodging'
Making their name both mean 'lodging where god is' and a reference to shibuya and harajuku(fashion centrals in Japan)
The acronym for KMYD is Kawaii (可愛い！) Max (全力！) Yell (応援！) Dream (夢！).

 
A indie idol group formed in 2014 they have 5 members and managed by 2 students in their early 20s.

Haven't heard of them before, was instantly hooked on Hina's look in that photo. I guess it's supposed to look kinda sickly and I don't know why but I like it. Her voice is great too from what I can tell in that first video you posted. The other video seems more classic idol though, without the "sickly" look too so I guess it's a recent character change or just to fit to the single?

Yami kawaii/sickly kawaii is... well popular in undeground groups(if that even means anything?) So I think it's an evolution of style.

I've just been working through TIF2016 clips and trying to pick out which groups I liked that didn't already have threads(they were part of a doll factory day 1 event hosted by 3 dempagumi members). I think they've been at a lot of events maneki kecak have been at and even covered some of their songs(or maybe drop songs?).

I've been following them off and on for a while, they have released some good songs, but among underground groups, they aren't my favorite. Although I'm feeling like an idiot right now. The "shima" and "tori" kanji look really similar so I've been romanizing things wrong for the past year on the wiki. So thanks for unintentionally bringing this to my attention.

On that note, the names are romanized incorrectly.

 

島 is shima, so Hashima Mei

鳥 is tori, so Hatori Miki

OH thank you. It's actually both the kanji being wrong and their name. Bah I was lazy and copy pasted the name section of the profile(no kana reading on the site for me to use ;-; ). The 2 are actually sisters, looks like they should both be shima from the official site.

It shouldn't be hard as it's written on their site and twitter

"グループ名の「神宿」は「神宮前」と「原宿」を合わせたもの。"

"Group name 'Kamiyado' is a combination of 'Jingūmae' and 'Harajuku'"

It is possible tho that in the beginning it was written differently.

While they've grown up really fast, I hope they'll be okay since that's 2x as big as their biggest live (TSUTAYA O-EAST?). I was thinking they'd aim for someplace a little bit smaller like Akasaka BLITZ before that like Akishibu did before Zepp Tokyo.
