Congratulations, Mei! I was really happy with this decision since she has a good voice and great stage presence.

Based on what we got of the 12ki footage years back, I'd imagine a whole lot of lyrics and choreo cramming right now. Mei will have a leg up in that regard since the HKSS will have learned enough MM songs that she'll have a good foundation for memorizing H!P dances as it is, along with probably knowing the lyrics and dances for more recent songs by heart. She's probably helping to assist the newbies, so that should help solidify their 15ki bond before the first tour. For now, the tour setlist will be their priority, but aside from Jinsei, they may have to learn a retro dance or two depending on whether they'll also have to perform an oldschool song like Love Machine or RR21 on a TV show before the next tour.

I'm surprised that theres no birthday pictures with her and 15ki so far, like there was with 12ki when Miki had her birthday soon after the announcement. I hope the new morning musume had some chance to meet up, celebrate, and get to know one another.

I get a lot of Hamaura Ayano and Dambara Ruru, but I hadn't really made any comparisons outside of H!P. Maybe I could see a little bit in the smile, but I'm not sure if I see much outside of that.
