Bandjanaimon!  (But we're not a band!)  (バンドじゃないもん！)

 

This idol group was originally a duo drummer idol set consisting of Misako and Kacchan but through new members joining and Kacchan leaving we have the current setup!

So current members are

• Suzuhime Misako (鈴姫みさこ) – Pink – Drums
• Koishio Ringo (恋汐りんご) – Shioringo (しおりんご) – Red – Castanets
• Nanase Gumi (七星ぐみ) – Light Blue – Shaker
• Mochizuki Miyu (望月みゆ) – Green – Bass
• Amanatsu Yuzu (甘夏ゆず) – Yellow – Synthasizer 
• Takeuchi Momoko (天照大桃子) – Chanmomo (ちゃんもも◎) – Blue – Tingshaw

As shown above 3 members can play instruments with Momoko and Shioringo also able to do DJ work.

 

 

At the time of this thread being made here is their latest music video for their summer single

"Natsu no Oh! Vibes"

 

I believe this was their first video with the current stable lineup of members(please let me know if I'm wrong!)

Since they changed records labels(warner to pony canyon) there isn't one place to find their videos so just google their name in japanese to find them

If anyone want to see what the duo were like live, the "Chocolate Love" CD single has an edition that came with a DVD featuring their set at Shibuya WWW from Oct 2012. For me, Bandjanaimom were definitely a  case of less is more; I think they're pretty run of the mill in their current form, but I still love this video, which annoyingly wasn't included on the aforementioned DVD

I'm the opposite, each song they release I enjoy more and more. I love the voices of the current members and their sound and their wacky styles. I really do love it all. It's like they do dempa music but with more spunk to it, more punchiness?

So there was an amusing tv show a while ago that tested out whether shiorin is a true burikko or if it's all for show. They do this by trying to 'catch her out' it's not subbed but it's pretty easy to follow and quite amusing.

As a drummer myself I'm obligated to like Misako, but Yuzu has caught my eye as well. They're a pretty interesting group.

They have pretty good songs. I listened to their first album and so far it's boisterous in its own way. But there's another reason why I'm supporting the group like why I support Rikako for ANGERME, Yamashita Emiri for HKT48 and Iida Sakurako for TPD.

Not sure what release it's for but they've release some duo/pair music videos

For those interested in this band I just wanted to add that one of their members, Chanmomo, was appearing at the first season of Terrace House Boys x Girls Next Door as Momoko Takeuchi, she tells something very interesting and sad about her life in these tv series
