It must be getting pretty lonely in their practice rooms.  Down to three currently-active KSS... If both Kanami and Mei were to get into MM this round like I've seen some people speculating, I'd be really worried about Hikari and Minori.

I get the feeling that they are trying to end the Hokkaido branch for good, they've had years now to add more girls and they havent. And now they are finally starting to debut the girls so I wouldn't be surprised if they ended that idea.

Bam!! I have to say HP Kenshuu Hokkaido dominate the debutant of 2019 (first semester). The recital test described all the potential.

Today on “Hello to Meet You” they announced new member auditions for Hello!Pro Kenshuusei Hokkaido starting tomorrow July 1st:

The age range for the auditions is between 4th grade elementary and 3rd year middle school age, and applicants must also live in Hokkaido.

I am so happy about this! The HKSS program has been exceptional in its ability to produce very quick progress for those with potential. Even those who stood out in ways other than vocal ability like Oota Haruka have been able to showcase themselves in such a way that they've gained some following before a debut, so a continuation of this program is excellent news. More importantly from my own point of view, those who remained in the program will now be senpai and have the chance to shape the next generation of HKSS, giving them more reason to hang around for a bit longer so that they can hopefully debut in the future.

Suprised! It definitely seemed to me like they were going to phase out the program, but I guess they feel like they've had good success with the Hokkaido girls and they'd like to keep it going. Sort of makes sense because a Hokkaido girl is less likely to come all the way to Tokyo for auditions, so they often have some hidden talents up there.

So is hkss officially disbanded now? I mean the only thing that comes to mind currently is that the Juice/Tsubaki audition could bring in more in but other than that, what do you guys think?

Even if it doesn't "refill" right away with the auditions, I hope they at least keep it around as an option? You never know when girls might pop up that need that little bit of ease in their travel time.

It does sound like the Hokkaido project has come to an end. But I agree, it would be great for potential new KSS to have a training spot just to reduce all that traveling.
