Okappa is such a weirdo in Sahikita Gassen, I love it. But I wonder why management chose a type of girl like her to be a center.

Well, I think it's an experiment they can afford as NGT48 is in the early stage. Okappa will either be a hit or a miss, but they have plenty of time to experiment with centers. As for reasons, she's visually appealing for sure. But in terms of character she's definitely a strange pick.

"Fushigi"-character through and through, whereas Katomina seems to be more of a classical mold, so it could prove interesting. But I am as you said surprised, because they usually don't pick these kind of characters for centers.

I am keeping to my tradition that I would start a thread for a member if she does not have a thread when she reach my oshimen level
I will update more stuff on the first page when I get more info on her .. well I can cheat by looking at S48 wiki but I try not to before I doing some work myself on her.

Basically, I started looking at her when NGT48 form up .. but I am not willing to jump at selecting oshimen .. I prefer to wait to be sure ..
She seem to be behind at the beginning when she is out of quite a few stuff .. I just keep hearing from my friend that his NGT48 oshi is feature for this and that and I find her missing ..
Then suddenly .. she got center for the NGT48 song for the recent single, got an acting role and now AKB48 senbatsu ..

Disagree with me if you want .. but after years of following 48G .. I do not like following members who seem to have to have no push ..
without reasonable content .. my love can't grow ..
Furthermore, by history usually .. the more push members tend to stay longer or at least there is a lower chance of her suddenly graduating ..

Further to that, I am not a 48G fan then .. I needed a Kami to bring me back before I start 48G again ..
And Rara didn't mess up when I met her and now I am back and I can follow her as oshimen and also I can support the group

For the AKB48 album 2shot, I had wanted to bid for her 2shot but she is in the same round as 2 other girls and I fear I would not make it in time ..
But in the end .. I finish the 2shot with the 2 girls in 15 minutes .. which mean I got plenty of time .. oh the regret ..
At least I got something undone and aim for

I dunno actually .. It was an easy choice for me when I first saw NGT48 because I sense the aura from her ..
LOL .. in reality .. I think her short hair make her stand out and I like short hair girls with a cute face

While I am sure Kato Minami will succeed as a center I am not so sure about Moeka... she doesn't seem to be the wota type of idol who smiles always and is cheerful eye candy. I can't even imagine her in 44th single if it's a bikini single tbh. To be exact, I can't imagine her acting sexy or cutesy.

 

But I will still enjoy her weird character!
