So, I don't know if appeal videos are exclusively on GYAO only this year, or if they will appear on YouTube later, but...
This is what happens when I try to watch the videos:
日本国外からは映像を視聴できません。Sorry, this video cannot be watched in your region due to licensing restriction.
I hope someone can manage to download all the videos like every year, and upload them on the tracker.

and they did announce about the appeal videos .. but when I click the link .. it just put my on the page with the search result on yahoo! Japan ..
Hmm ..it say that we can view the appeal video if we search it .. but I can't even see anything to get me into GYAO even ..

They are restricted only to Japanese view. I found the mirrors on Stage48
They are all on Dailymotion, here is Mikichan's video: http://www.dailymoti...1lN4aqAbwDhImnN

You can actually view them if you access them via Yahoo Japan search. Just search for appeal comment and member name. Then the GYAO video window shows in search and you can play from there.
But the files have just been uploaded to the tracker, so all are accessible via there as well now

You don't really "send" your vote. You vote online, like all elections. You have your voting slip, with a code on it, then you go to the voting site, find the girl(s) you want to vote for, enter the code, and check out, and they go "Thanks for your vote blah blah blah etc." and that's about it. It's very simple

^ .. yup .. its simple .. go to the site with the stated URL ..or you can use the QR code .. choose your girl which they usually sort it in teams or name .. then key in the code on your ticket which is in the CD
From last year .. this is how the ticket in the CD look like .. it can come in different color .. (photo not included I am using it to cover the code)
the "thank you for your vote" message
edit: this may be the page just before you vote .. I can't remember because in many previous year .. you can't see who you vote on the final "thank you for your vote" message screen

I hope this year Yokoyama won't overreact so much.
I just watched past elections and it was painful and cringy watching her.

^This year she'll cry about how this is her first election as General Manager without Takamina to guide her, how she broke/wanted to break into kami 7, how the new gen need to rise and defeat the ori AKB, how her and paruru are the leaders of new gen, and more blubbering until they move her along to her seat lol

So I'll either use her speech time to go to the toilet, if I watch the live stream, or skip it if I watch it later.

Thoughts:
While just a preliminary, and since this can change drastically, there's always something interesting to note.
HKT48 last year had 16 girls rank in the preliminary. This year, counting the 100-81 positions (only announced during preliminary round, will not be announced in main election), HKT48 had 26 girls rank. Not counting 100-81, they had 22. So they are continuing to grow.
Last year, the lowest votes in order to rank at #80 was 13,116.
The lows:
- No Hillary announced.
- No Moekyun announced.
- No Katomina announced.
- Seichan. Around 1000 votes less than last year, and below the 80 cut-off point. I fear she may not rank this year either.
- Naanya also below #80.
- Annin ranks, but it is extremely low for someone who is as over-pushed as she is.
- NMB48 with 12 girls ranking in preliminary. 7 if you ignore 100-81. Last year they had 8 ranking.
- Miichan
- Kitarie
- Churi
- Yuihan
- Paruru
The highs:
- HKT48 showing strength again.
- Aanya returns.
- NakoMiku finally ranking.
- Wakachan
- Chori
- Rikopi
- Aoitan
- Megutan
- Yuuri
- Aapon
- Yuriya
- Riripon
- Naru
- Komiharu
- Maichan
- Sayaya
- Ayaka
- Ryoochan
- NyanNyanKamen
- Juri
- Sakipon
- Naachan (She hoped for Kami7 for election, and so far in preliminary, that is exactly what she got - hopefully it stays - though that's extremely unlikely)
- Daasuu
As for Mayuyu vs. Sasshii, this year it's extremely close in the preliminary, and it's up for anybody's grab of the two I think. Jurina is close behind, but she's behind. For Sayanee, it looks to be too far behind.
Going by last years #80 position vote count, only girls from #8 this year and above can truly feel safe. So it's impossible to really predict with any certainty here.
But exciting, oh yes it is.

^ It is this year, just a typo.
- So is this it for yukirin...most fans exhausted their money in last ssk and many switched oshi after the incident
- Is paruru losing fans or ??
- Sakura seems too low.
