It wasn't really explained too well. But sounds like the whole group. http://sousenkyo.akb...ail.php?id=1045

Then there was no point in this even being a thing, it was impossible for akb48 to lose.

It was very much possible for at least SKE48 to win and even HKT48 did really well.

This image shows some nice statistics of last year's results vs. current year's result. Who have gained votes? Who have lost votes?
Yukirin with the most votes lost, at -75,073. Let's just say there's an obvious reason why this happened.
Otherwise, some thoughts:
There's many things I can comment on but I'm tired right now

I found the first pic a bit scary. Everyone is smiling except a certain someone lol.
And I'm so happy for Yuriya. She's finally getting some exposure, amazed she ranked better than a lot of regulars. Also while i was mostly with a feeling of curiosity/excitement overall the whole sousenkyo i kinda teared up a bit at Okada Nana's speech. I love the girl and it was so sad to hear that she's having a disease that is pushing her toward eating disorders and stuff. She even considered keeping silent because fans might've disliked her for that stuff. Thankfully everyone promptly showed the opposite both on her G+ and twitter, made me happy. I really hope she gets well soon and I'm really happy for her getting into senbatsu

What is surprising to me is how the votes seemed to be more spread out with pretty much every spot 19th and lower being really close and yet 20,000 votes would have gotten Moripo around 40th place last year compared to 50th this year.
Felt a bit sad for Wakaharu ranking pretty decently in the 1st ranks but unable to place today. I wonder how close she was to Murashige's 13,000.

What did Yukirin and especially KitaRie said that make all the NGT48 girls cried .. ?
It is good that they seen to be developing a nice relationship with their juniors like SasshI is doing for HKT48..
On a happy and sad note.. NGT48 is going to debut but it is under Sony which likes to block us foreign fans >.<

What I find really interesting is the fact that between Yuihan and Tomu is just 14 votes
And I remember the picture with Suda Akari with a frown and tears. I'm glad she's smiling this year. Congrats!!

I don't remember too much of it but Yukirin said she wasn't going to participate in the election but once they announced it would be in NGT's hometown she decided to participate. Kitarie said that NGT station is like her second home now and that NGT girls are like her daughters (this is where they started crying), then she waved to them and they all got up and cheered for her lol. Although they both ranked down, I'm glad they used their moments to talk about and promote NGT, very Sasshi like indeed.
Also, here is a quick graph showing how many votes you needed to rank into each group compared with last years.
Grouping / 2015 / 2016 / Increase or Decrease
Upcoming Girls / 13,116 / 13,058 / -58
Future Girls / 14,933 / 15,793 / +860
Next Girls / 18,021 / 20,643 / +2,622
Under Girls / 22,191 / 28,260 / +6,069
Senbatsu / 44,637 / 40,071 / -4,566
Kami 7 / 81,422 / 69,159 / -12,263
Another bit of pointless info. Takamina ranked 4th last year with over 137k votes. This year Sayanee and Jurina ranked 4th and 3rd with under 115k votes, so in terms of votes, they still couldn't beat Takamina lol

^ .. oh thanks
^ .. hmm ..
I wonder have the "most number of place group getting a new stage" reward have affected those members who were from another group ..
I mean with the exception of Sasshi who is really in a different level of her own ..
The rest of the members like Suuchan, Ranran, Yukirin, KitaRie and Yuria all have a drop in votes ..
Some fans may have decide to pull their votes out to help their own groups to get the reward .. maybe?

I doubt people drops support of their oshimen in order to support a group or a team instead. That seems too far-fetched. Oshihen is much more likely.
Fact is, Ranran and Suuchan are over the hill, to be blunt. And Yuria is heading there as well. Yukirin's drop in votes really isn't that hard to explain: She had a scandal, and she's an orthodox idol type, which means scandal is something she does not want, because so many of her fans are against such things. Minus 75k votes says it all. Just to add: I've seen people who were Yukirin fans oshihen to being Naachan fans instead.
