The series is set 97 years after a devastating nuclear war wiped out almost all life on Earth. The only known survivors are the residents of twelve space stations in Earth's orbit prior to the war. The space stations banded together to form a single massive station named "The Ark", where about 2,400 people live under the leadership of Chancellor Jaha. Resources are scarce and all crimes, no matter their nature or severity, are punishable by ejection into space ("floating") unless the perpetrator is under 18 years of age. After the Ark's life-support systems are found to be critically failing, 100 juvenile prisoners are declared "expendable" and sent to the surface—nearby former Washington, D.C.—in a last ditch attempt to determine if Earth is habitable again in a program called "The 100", for which the show is named.

Okay so I have devoured the first season in the weekend and now I'm in episode 3 of the Season 2. So watch out for spoilers. 

I'm not sure how popular this series is tbh, here nobody seems to know about it.

 

My favourite characters are Bellamy and Raven. A set of Raven being badass gifs made me watch the series. But I honestly like everyone, Clarke is a great lead. I hope Monty gets more development though, he is great but seems to be reduced as Jasper's sidekick all the time. I love the couples/possible couples. Octavia's took me some time to grow into I mean everything happened too fast for my taste.

I actually just finished binge watching this series a few weeks ago when I randomly saw it on Netflix. Had absolutely not expectation going in but the theme of the show was interesting enough. The first episode was pretty cringe-y but I was very pleasantly surprised how it just got better and better. I am bummed that Season 3 is so far off (I think it's supposed to return in March 2016?)

 

I get what you mean about "nobody seems to know about it." I don't think I know a single person that watches this show besides my dad which I thought was funny since it just seemed like a cheesy teen "lord of the flies". Oh was I proved wrong! I like everyone as well, they were pretty one dimensional in the beginning, but so much character development! Though one character I liked in Season 1, I really disliked in Season 2. If you reached that far, I think you will know who I'm talking about. Hope you enjoy(ed) the rest of the second season!

Clarke?

I actually hated Murphy so much in season 1 and half of 2, but then he became so interesting. What's great about almost everyone is that they have so many flaws. At least the developed ones. The one I couldn't stand was Maya, it could have been the one playing her though.

I'm actually talking about Finn! Though, I guess to be fair, his character was getting worse and worse in Season 1 as well with the whole Clarke/Raven/Finn love triangle. Season 2 made him irredeemable though. I will admit, his last scenes did make me a little sad but I was happy to see the teen relationship drama aspect go away after that. 

 

Murphy was great! One character I absolutely did not expect to get that sort of character development. Him and Jaha's story was interesting. 

 

I totally get what you mean, its why I love the show so much! Every character is very grey. I am curious to see how Jasper and Monty's characters will develop in the third season. Monty really wasn't utilized enough but he had an important part in the season finale, so I hope that comes into play and they don't ignore it. I would also like Octavia to develop a little bit of her character that doesn't revolve around Lincoln. She is so interesting and one of my faves but too much Lincoln (though I do like their romance!)

 

Also, I have to ask, Clexa or Bellarke? (or neither!) =p

Omg yes! I totally forgot he existed. Yeah, Finn changed in such an annoying way. I understand if he fell in love and all, but he spent such a small amount of time to feel that much for Clarke, imo. Stop loving Raven? Sure. Kill so many people? Nah. But his last scenes were so sad. Poor Raven.

 

Totally. I can't stand Jaha though. Sometimes I do but then he goes all John Locke from Lost and ugh shut up already. But their storyline was something I wasn't expecting at all. Considering Murphy and Wells, even less. It's a nice change from the usual main characters.

 

I like OctaviaxLincoln but it came too fast. Then yeah, they are sweet together. Well Octavia kinda did her thing in the end, at least for Bellamy. But yeah, I hope she grows more alone than with Lincoln.

 

Lexa is gorgeous omg, but I couldn't like Clexa. Like it came so sudden. And while I get Lexa, her last actions were so cringy. I loved Anya's character btw, so badass.

 

I was shipping Bellarke before knowing it was a thing. After season 2 I did my research and was surprised. So yeah, I love that couple. I can do with Raven and Bellamy together as well, and JasperRaven. I don't like Wick, I wish I would because it seems a bit of endgame right now.  Your couples? X)

 

Monty deserves more storyline~ He is so awesome and like with Raven, lots of things that happened wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for those two.
I suppose Jasper will be a bit emo next season and pretty angry at Monty.

I thought Jaha's story was great in the first season and now I'm not so sure I'm looking forward to his story in the next. Seems like it'll be a main focus. I'm really curious to see where they're going to take the AI element.

 

Anya was great! Definitely gone too soon. Lexa is great as well but I agree, the relationship was waaay too fast. Though, I'm guessing after her actions of the season finale, their relationship is going to be strained.

 

My support for Bellarke is too strong LOL I started shipping it in the first or second episode, they just have crazy good chemistry together. I love their friendship and the fact that their relationship is being built up from a mutual respect for one another. I know some people think they may not get together since they have too much of a comrade/partner in arms bond, but I think they are just having a really slow burn. I think it will happen, eventually. I just don't think it will happen anytime soon. Jasper/Raven is an interesting ship! They need more scenes together. I like that she gave him back his goggles in the season finale. I would also love more Raven/Clarke friendship scenes. Though I think the adults are very frustrating at times, I surprisingly really like Marcus/Abby. Their relationship has been tumultuous, but I like how it's developed. I wouldn't mind seeing them together in the future.

 

Yeah, I really hope some of the story lines focus more on The 100/sky people characters and not so much on the grounders this season.

I find it funny that the grounders live like cave man and now we had a full complex in the mountain and now AI X)

It all depends, but I wonder how his story will mix with whatever the sky people do. So many questions, like what will Clarke do? Peace established between sky and ground people? And Murphy's last moment was also like whaaat. He couldn't even drink peacefuly lol.

 

I think it's the fact Lexa showed only two faces through all the season, either serious or worried, so there wasn't much into thinking she was that much into Clarke. I get certain moments but everyone falls for the other too fast. I could understand it as a stress reliever with someone that understands you the best, considering Clarke's leader position. Yeah I can't see Clarke and Lexa becoming friendly again.

 

Bellarke will definitely happen! I think all their development was great, and considering how their relationship was in the first episodes if that thing went fast it wouldn't have felt as real, at all.

Considering both lost a loved one -well Raven's loss was greater-, they could bond. But it feels like that type of really random pairings right now, with Wick around.

 

Marcus/Abby is GREAT. That was also a very realisitic development, and I hated Marcus so much in the first episodes and now he's awesome.

 

I suppose they'll have a rest with the grounders, but again I can't see how the sky people's story will develop, apart from building houses or such, having them involved with the grounders so fast would be repetitive. Jaha and Murphy are so far away, really, how will that ever connect? X D

i've seen season 2 and 3 now - my sister and dad were bingewatching it and i missed the first season haha. 

 

I like the story, and I find some of the characters really interesting. Especially Murphy is interesting for me. And i really loved Lincoln. 

 

I know most of what happens in season 4 too, because of spoilers everywhere haha.

Murphy grew from I want him dead to yasssss go Murphy! even if he keeps some of his previous traits lol.
