I doubt it will be Juice=Juice audition with just members from Hokkaido. More likely they want to gather a certain amount of members for special unit or sth like that.
Another community and social project tie-in like Satoyama related to Hokkaido? Trying to be the first to enter the market since 48G and stardust ain't doing it(yet)? or a both?
Awesome! It's great to see H!P finally spreading across Japan, but the only worry I have is whether UFP is spreading themselves too thin. I would much rather see quality within their groups rather than quantity. On another plus note though, the future for Country Girls looks really bright if H!P are planning on being active in Hokkaido.
Even though Kansai branch is not completely dead, they're barely heard, even within H!P fans.
It probably just another excuse to add more Kenshuu or create something that looks like non-H!P related (but somehow related, e.g. Happy! Style) in the end.
夏 - 植 - 中 - 宮 - 山-尾 -小
(Now the list has been completed still not yet complete)
^Actually this year Up-Front Kansai is the most active I have seen since the end of Happy!Style. They are promoting Lovelys!!! more than I expected.

I think Up-Front as a whole is building a foothold in Hokkaido. We already have Country Girls which originally originated from Hokkaido.
And then, we have UUG as official idol support group for Hokkaido's coming 24th YOSAKOI SORAN MATSURI. The closing date of the festival coincides with the end of the audition.
Up-Front is making their presence felt in the north.
Update: UUG will be in Sapporo tomorrow for their Nation-wide concert tour. LOL how convinient Up-Front. "Oh while we are there, might as well announce an audition for Hello!Project"
UUG has been appointed as the official idol support group for Hokkaido's 第24回「YOSAKOIソーラン祭り」/ 24th YOSAKOI SORAN MATSURI. The festival will run from June 10th to 14th.
I can't find any video on the opening ceremony but there are tons of video for the closing ceremony. This is one of the closing performances.
YOSAKOI SORAN is a big festival attracting alot of local and foreign tourists. It also include street parades.
According to the official news, UUG will participate in the night opening ceremony on the 12th, and the ODORI SQUARE performance on the 13th. Since they are the official idol group I suspect they will also be involved with other PR aspects of the festival. It would be awesome if UUG takes part in a street parade
Nikkan Sports news predicts its the birth of a new Hokkaido based idol group. They also mentioned it could be a new battleground for idols because of "SPR48" (Sapporo48) idea looming http://www.nikkanspo...ws/1476870.html
Girls age 10-17 are allowed to audition, it's limited to Hokkaido/Sapporo though. It says that they're going to be active on Hokkaido, so it's not Tokyo based like the rest of H!P?
Just a fyi, they have to be at least 10 years old or under 18 years of age by June 1st, so it's possible for them to add an 18 year old.
The 10-17 rule is just something used by H!P for quite some time. Although nowadays, the vast majority of idol groups tend to debut girls around that age range. It is persumed that an 18 year old will be more focused on getting in a university or is currently enrolled in one, so they no longer have an interest or lost hope in becoming an idol. Younger girls (elementary/early middle school) tend to have much more interest in becoming an idol and might perfer it over just being focused on getting into Uni. Of course, that doesn't mean you can't do both: Momoko and Airi are great examples.
The current age range girls are allowed to audition for KSS are 10-15 (anyone of high school age either auditioned before they began high school or was asked to joined by someone in UF, mostly from another audition). It makes more sense since you can either debut in a few months, a couple of years, or maybe never. Seeing the the cut-off date in 17 in the Hokkaido audition only shows that it's most likely for a unit.
