Well, thank goodness Sugai-sensei was pretty alright with Yanamin. I'm not sure I would have been okay watching him chew her out... not without smashing my laptop screen in rage anyway . At the same time, I'm very happy that she gets to study with him because he really does manage to make a decent singer out of many idols (I mean Uemu didn't start out sounding as good as she does now, right?). I think it already payed off, too, since Yanamin's voice sounded deeper and fuller during the clips I saw of the Budokan concert

Sugai-sensei is only that mean at the beginning to slap some discipline into new recruits. He's actually pretty buddy buddy with Uemuu and tried out his makeup on her /walked with her back to the station because it was already late in the evening.

^ Well...she's definitely crying in that first picture there. But she was reading a letter to Momochi at her graduation concert so that's nothing to worry about . Btw, she's playing on what the fans are saying about her eyebrows - that she's looking like the pokemon tympole.

 

Thanks, I did clue in to that it was probably Momochi-related, after posting. She's a pokemon character!? She better watch out for Miki and Fukuchan, I think they like collecting cute characters. She might end up getting caught and stuffed into a purse .

Out of all of the members who transfered, Yanagawa honestly seems like the one whose benefitting the most. At first, I didn't understand Yanagawa's addition to Juice=Juice. She's no songstress and she's an average dancer at best. Being in Country Girls made her cuteness and personality more valuable than anything. However, ever since she's been added to Juice=Juice, she's changed A LOT. I feel like I've seen her confidence do an entire 360. She looks way more mature now, and her performance skills have skyrocketed. She's still not the *best* singer, but from what I've seen of her since 2015, she's really becoming really good. And now, Yanagawa dances with confidence. I'm proud of her, Juice=Juice has done her well.

Agreed, but would add that Morito has also been reshaped a lot in the image of her new group. Not in the same direction as Yanagawa, because MoMusu and J=J are fundamentally different organizations... but similarly "reshaped."
I don't watch Angerme nearly as closely as J=J, but my impression is that Funaki is more or less the same Funaki, but now in Angerme, without Yanagawa to play off. (Obviously, Kawamura is a very different character than Yanagawa, and other than her, she's working with semapi which takes special care, even in Angerme)
