I'm undecided if I will watch stream or not, as usually the quality isn't all too good, and it may also have lag or frame drops. Last year the BS SkyPerfect TV broadcast was uploaded relatively quickly, so I might just hold out for that :)

I would love to stay up for it, however, I can't pull all nighters, and my sleeping habits are bad enough ^^;

So, waiting for it to be on the tracker is fine by me!

15:00 - 19:00 JST means UK folk will have to wake up at 7:00am if they want to catch this stream.. It's not a horrible time but it could be a lot better (i'm not an early riser!) ^^;

Ok .. I cast my votes :D
2015%2B-%2B1.jpg2015%2B-%2B2.jpg

I put all my 10 votes on Sakura..
Since I am not a 48G fan anymore so I do not have an oshimen anymore so I can vote anyone I want :D
I am doing what I always wanted to do but was bounded by the kami oshimen rule. So now I finally voted for her .. :)
I know 10 votes is very little .. but I hope it would at least help a bit.
I wish her all the best for the senbatsu election and hope she does get into Kami 7 .. :)

Now.. there is not much to do but to look forward to this Saturday for the results :)

Ya .. it will surely be very exciting ..

I realise for this year, my mentality will be different from the last 4 years i have been following the senbatsu election ..
For the previous 4 times, the member I am rooting for may not get a place and my hope is her getting a place in the senbatsu election ..
So straight off .. I would want to hear her name being call .. and anxiety would take over if her name didn't get call as they go forward up into the ranks ..

But this year, it is different .. I am rooting for someone who surely should get a place and my hope is her getting the best position possible ..
So straight off .. I don't want to hear her name being call and don't want to hear her name being called for as long as possible .. the best case is her name is still not being call even up to 2nd position .. :P
So it would be a new experience for me .. :)

I've always been interested in quite a lot of girls really, oshimen, favorites, etc. For example, even if I've never really been super into Nakayan and Chiichan, when both of their names got called out at the final event, that was really awesome. I mean, not only did both of the girls cry immediately, but so did other members and I am pretty sure I saw some fans as well that started crying. I hope for the best for the most of them, but there's just 80 spots, and with 4 groups it's very hard to place.

With the announcement of #80, I will know which girls from the preliminary are guaranteed a spot, and which girls will need more votes to get in, and that will kickstart the excitement for sure...

Since this election is the first time I voted, I'm so interested to see how the results turn out :D I'm guaranteed on two members - Takamina and Keicchi.

I changed my vote, and I had my other two votes on Marinchan and Hillary. I do hope they end up ranking; even if it's at the end of the list, I don't care. It will make things special for me too.

I'm much of a 48G fan nowadays either but I still have an oshimen and she's the only reason I bother spending money in this event. It is quite liberating to be able to just sit back and enjoy the rest of the results because while there are other girls I like, I have no real investment in them or their place in 48G since it's not like I'm watching the PV's or LOD's anyway.

Now if Nogizaka46 ever participated in the election... yeah I'll be in some trouble (the only reason I didn't vote for Ikoma last year was because I simply didn't have the money).

ok .. i am not here to cause any unhappiness .. I am just stating my opinion ..
and it is just my opinion ..

when I started voting in the senbatsu election was in 2011 ..
I got 16 votes and I like AKB48 Aamin, Nakayan, MiyuMiyu, SKE48 Kuumin and NMB48 Riichan ..
I was thinking on how would I vote for them .. my idea was 4 votes each for Aamin, Nakayan, Kuumin and Riichan ..
But then .. I know quite a few AKB48 fans in my country .. so I asked around for advice ..
The common and good advice was actually to put it all in 1 member ..
So I put all 16 on Aamin who is my highest idol .. back in 2011 there was only 40 position and getting a position seem a lot harder ..
In the end .. she got 37th position and it was her first ranking .. it was very satisfying as I see Aamin who ain't expecting to rank .. got a place and was lost on what to do ..

later as I learn more about 48G .. I find that most fans .. just keep their votes to 1 at most 2 members ..
So to me .. it would be better to vote for 1 ..
I think it about being decisive which is emphasized in Japanese culture ..
They got to come up with a decision and know their push ..
Even for voting for 2 members .. it is never even votes .. it is usually like 80-20, 70-30 percent ..
They know who is more important ..

To me it is about objective and what is the most important ..
Like for my 2011 example .. if I had split my vote and Aamin didn't rank .. it would be very regretful ..
but if I did my best and she didn't rank .. I know I did my best ..
The other members not ranking ain't going to be as regretful as Aamin not ranking ..
So it goes down the question of "did you try your best for them" ..
By splitting votes .. you just did something for them but you didn't do your best for anyone ..

basically when I was a 48G fan .. I put up with people who do split votes and let them celebrate after the result ..
like " I vote for 10 different members and all of them rank" .. it was ok because i know they rank not because of this people ..
because by voting for different members you can canceling out your own votes and not your opposing fans vote..
it makes it easier to defeat .. so smart fans would encourage you to vote for everything under the sun ..
Since I am not really a fan now .. I am not so into the battle .. so I could just let the cat out of the bag ..

the thing about other fans to fans is ..
The lowest are those who talk but didn't vote at all .. because it makes it sound like they let others do the battling but claim the glory later ..
then next is those fans who vote many members diluting their votes.. because this show that they are not decisive and can't make up their minds on anything in the world ..
So even the person with just voted 1 vote and it is just 1 vote for 1 member .. the fans would respect this person because that person did their best for their idol and was decisive ..

but anyway .. this are just fan ideals .. times may have change as 48G got a lot of members now ..
maybe its fashionable to like a whole bunch and vote a whole bunch randomly ..
Furthermore .. it is the individual fandom and for this case it is the individual's money .. so others has no say to it ..
but it is just an advice and an opinion .. :)

==================

I've always been interested in quite a lot of girls really, oshimen, favorites, etc. For example, even if I've never really been super into Nakayan and Chiichan, when both of their names got called out at the final event, that was really awesome. oh ya .. the 2012 one .. i remembered .. Chiichan was call out first .. Nakayan was clapping and cheering for her .. then Nakayan name got called next .. it was just a superb election result that year ..
Almost the whole team A got a place .. and SKE48 sweep the election with Kaotan keep out ..
it also got Sakura placing .. the only HKT48 girl who got a place .. she was not expecting it .. as she was very behind ..
and HKT48 at least got 1 person to represent them when they just started about half a year ago ..
Those were the days when her G+ and the comments barely pass 100 .. unlike now which is near impossible to catch the top 500 comment to get your comment in .. :)
I think I go put out the video of that election and watch it now .. :)

saw this on my friend G+ who just came back from Japan form his 2shot with 48G and handshake with NMB48 during the weekend ..
Seem he got this outside the AKB48 shop from a Mion fan giving this out ..
This is the amount of effort they are putting in to get votes for their oshimen .. :D

^Same as draft:

As a reminder to people, the event is broadcasted life on Fuji TV and BS Sky Perfect tomorrow. Last year BS Sky Perfect version was uploaded within a day from the event. So keep all the talk in this thread to keep the forum spoiler free until at least a day after the videos are up. Would probably be good to wait until a day after .mp4 version is posted as the first version will most likely be .ts.

In few hours, tears will be shed and blood will be spilled (just for dramalization). Will the history hold, with no repeat winner?

I just learn that the broadcast will be split between the BS Skyperfect and Fuji. Fuji will do the 2nd half.

Reiterate:

obviously we have to wait until the day to find out how good and reliable they are, but I hadn’t seen any others around:

Also, I am surprised that the event is split this year between BS SkyPerfect TV and FujiTV. I hope that FujiTV will show all girls, and not just sit in studio and talk about uninteresting bullshit while some girls are announced.

At any rate, looking forward to the uploads of each channel's broadcast.

^ No, the results start on BS Sky Perfect and at 19:00 it moves to Fuji TV with the results continuing there. 18:30-19:00 on Fuji TV is probably some random talk in studio or something.
