been waiting someone to create a thread since 2/14 lol
 
summary from what I know about this single (from websites, showroom, etc)
 
- it will be extremely different from anything you've seen !!
 
- contain only 1 single and 1 instrumental
 
- but the song is EXTREMELY long lol it can be more than 20, 30, 40 or 50 minutes since the word they use is "数十分" (literally means "couple of ten minutes")
 
- "オペラ? ミュージカル!?" (Opera? Musical !?)
 
- she didn't even heard the demo yet (according to last Kikka Showroom)

 

- during release event, probably need to split it up into something like Act 1, Act2, etc lol (according to last Kikka Showroom)
 
- it will have 3 editions. Limited A, Limited B, and Regular
 
- LE A DVD will include the PV, and the LE B DVD will the PV Making of and Special Video

2015年一発目シングルリリースが決定しました！
去年の11月からずっと舞台続きで歌う機会が減っていた、きっかにとって久しぶりの歌再開！
CDを出せることの嬉しさ！発売日は5月6日！きっかの誕生日月にリリースです！

ミュージックビデオ撮影もいつもの数倍以上の撮影時間になるのか？新曲リリースイベントの時はどうやって歌うのか？
いろいろ考え出したらきりがありません！笑

いろいろ不安もあるけど、なんか楽しみになってきた♡
吉川友の魅力を存分に出してくれる新曲になること間違いなしです！

Yeah, the long track length caught me off-guard... I'm both excited and a little bit worried about how that'll work in execution. If it does end up being like an Opera movement though, this'll be a very interesting single from an Idol...

The covers are a little busy looking, but damn, she looks awesome. I love the way they continue into each other as well! I wonder if she'll sell them with posters, 'cause having all three of them and putting them together would make an awesome mural.

Wow!! I love the covers, so much original!! I was in the showroon listening the new song and I think the first part of the song is the best!

The cover reminds me of her previous music video with "ippai/many Kikka" ( words taken from Kikka herself )

I'm so curious, but excited. How are they going to do a 17 minute PV (with UF's budget ) and keep it interesting throughout? That's practically the length of an episode of a TV show.

I'd think there would need to be a promotional version that was the length of an 'average' song surely? I mean I think AKB has had some very long story-like PVs but...well we'll see!

The covers look a whole lot better together than do apart. Kikka is gorgeous as usual though. 

 

I'll listen to the song later, not a good time right now but holy **** at that 17 minute mark. And I thought Yasutaka Nakata could do some long songs.

It's definitely influenced by musicals/operas. An interesting experiment for an Idol! I hope this gets Kikka some more attention It's got a lot of variety, though some parts are definitely better than others.

 

...Although as a music listener I kind of just wanted another fun dance track like Urahara Temptation or Amai Melody But as a fan of Kikka I'm happy to see her broaden her horizons and repertoire.

 

Oooh, the part that starts at around 31:28 sounds really great. I kind of just want a rip of that section as its own song!
