Mystery solved ^_^

Tasaki Asahi made a surprise appearance at Momo's birthday event and accompanied her on piano.

Moemi being awesome. Both Queen and Superfly are my favorite musicians.

Btw, everyone here knows that Asahi has not been eating any ice cream since she won the audition right? It is her motivation for a major debut. ^^

From JPLOP, also quoting myself.

The fact that she sang that English intro lines of Country Girls' song and sounding not half-bad AND has been doing guide vocals for H!P demo songs in place of Tsunku doesn't hurt, either.

I didn't know that.
Where did you get that information?

Well.. wotas talked (i.e. speculated) about this before. This is one of them: http://www.jicchan.com/?p=1496

Itooshikutte Gomen ne and (less prominently) Koi Dorobou English lines/bg harmony thing was obvious enough that even English fan sites were talking about it. Moemi has distinguishable tone in her vocal and her English pronunciation is decent enough. She might be as good as Yuki Uozumi of Lovendor who I heard can carry a conversation and Miki Nonaka of MM. And this was confirmed by Moemi herself in her blog, so that's that. http://ameblo.jp/moe...2-20150325.html

And as pointed out by that jicchan post, she also talked about recording guide vocals of demo tracks for other units in her blog. So while I don't know if she's the only person doing it, I take it as a reliable information as well. http://ameblo.jp/moe...1961110560.html

I did not realize that at all!

Back in March, they were guest on Takahashi Ai Casual Dinner Show. They were doing chorus for Ai, and Asahi played the keyboard.

So we have a lot of fan recording of Bitter & Sweet In-store Live on YouTube now right? I just realized from watching one of those clips yesterday that B&S staff actually explicitly encourage fans to take pictures and videos of the girls performing and upload them online. This doesn't sound like a usual UF strategy at all? I have a feeling that their manager might be working very hard to try to promote the girl and safe them.

This seems to be another Bitter & Sweet unreleased song called Mayonaka no Lonely (In the Middle of Lonely Night).

At their Mini Live on 4/2, Moemi's birthday, Asahi read a letter from Moemi's mom. The letter revealed (if not already known) that Moemi was a champion of NHK Nodo Jiman for her area when she was in high school. Nodo Jiman is a singing competition TV show for amateur singers from specific local area. There was no recording, but intelligent people on 2ch found a blog of a person who gave his/her impression on that specific broadcast. She sang Itsumo Nando Demo from Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi (Spirited Away) for her grandfather who just passed away.

Good quality recording of their second live on 4/2. Momei's mom letter starts at 27:45. Very good mini live from the girls btw. Lots of personalities and heartwarming moments.

Me too. It totally depends on how many people they can attract to their live performance though. CD sells like shit these days unless you employ idol sell strategy or the name of your band is Southern All Stars, so they will have to rely on their life performance to get more fans and make money.Because this is UF, you kind of get an automatic handshake with the girls at their events, but they are pushing them more toward being an artists. It is hard to define success though. Takui has been small gigs and composition for 20 years, and I consider him pretty successful. There aren't many pure artist who keep going for 20 years and can still have a live tour (although live house size). If B&S can be at Takui level, I think they are successful.

I hope they get more known.

I have to admit, that I didn't really knew about them until some days ago. I mean, I knew they were there but never actually listened to a song of them. Which was a huge mistake as I had discovered. I really like their music, in fact I just ordered their three singles

I really hope that there is a lot to come in the future
