That looks like a missed step on stairs, to me. I had an injury that looked very similar once.  but even grazed, ^^agreed

Yep, I missed the step when I let go of the rails and slammed my knee into the corner of the stair to cut it open.  Then scraped my leg from the ankle-up as I slid down the rest, slamming my knees and shins again until I could stop.  It looked like I jumped out of a moving train.  I was in enough shock that I had just enough time to take a tylenol before fainting from the pain.
