I did notice both MM and ANGERME view counts down from previous MV's.  Does YouTube still count 1 view per IP address or did that change?

(I didn't find it as great as their last releases... Shalala was ok but not "amazing" ... Ninja Girls song sounds like a bad B-Side song. The most generic A-Side since... I dunno)

More news on Kobushi Factory's new song "Kore Kara da"

fan report : The outfits are skirts that are purple. Their tops have their members colors. They have black long boots. They are wearing kachuusha on their head.

Kobushi Factory members confirmed the new song. Inoue Rei confirms Sakurako's Racco rap and her voice percussion. Also Hirose Ayaka's harmonies, Nomura's beautiful vibrato and Hamaura's high pitched voice with impact. There is also a dance. Ayaka says everyone has a personal part in the song.

Now that the group has fewer members, they can all shine and show their strenghts, that's a very good thing.

I've become addicted to the song, I think. I had kept it on repeat despite its low quality but I find it very addicting. Also, Reirei's beatboxing is one of those things that makes you happy c:

 

Also, I don't know if I can post it here, but a week ago I opened up a Kobushi content-based blog where I basically discuss or analyze (or rant) about Kobushi content in hopes of getting some sort of conversation going on. So far I only have three posts, and the latest one is about TEKI. Would really appreciate if I could get some opinions on any of the posts. Thank you!

Kobushi still preforms so well, yet they feel kind of empty. So used to hearing a big group, that it's weird there are only 5.

Do you guys think they will have a image color shuffle? Like C-ute had?

If the group had seen a bit more stability on the way to this point, I'd think it would be more likely.  From business standpoint though, it'd be considered risky to do so since it pressures existing fans to buy new colors at a time when the agency probably don't want to rock the boat too much.  If it happens, I'd think it would be after at least one more successful scandal-free tour.  Otherwise, it would be after a rebranding similar to Angerme, but under different circumstances.

 

The thing that stands out to me from that performance though is the utilization of members from other groups as background dancers.  It felt a lot like C-ute's use of KSS in their tours and probably is a window into how things will be done in the future.  I wouldn't be surprised if their next tour announces a few KSS to join along as background dancers to fill out the stage a bit more and to handle any props.  I may be eating these words later, but unless they do something to pull Kobushi up, I don't see them getting any big venues. Even if Budokan wasn't currently closed, I don't think it would even be in the discussions for a possibility.  S/mileage was on an uptick in popularity before that was a consideration after releasing some good songs and more promotion, and the rebranding happened near the height of their popularity.  Aside from their recent single having a tie-in with their ninja movie, they just haven't had a lot of good promotion since Samba in mid-2016.  I don't know if a rebranding, color shuffle, or changes within the group are necessarily the way to fix that, but given H!P's track record, they'll likely try to remedy that with an audition or surprise KSS selection.  I do think the group could continue on as a 5nin unit, but unless H!P finds a way to put the spotlight on them, they look like they may be spending a couple of years in a background limbo until they have a more senior status or H!P remembers they exist, similar to past groups.

S/mileage actually struggled to sell out their first Budokan and have even expressed doubts about selling it out as Angerme. They've never sold it out quickly. H!P is clearly all about the live house stuff anyway. There's almost no hall tours anymore (Tsubaki has never had a tour at all) and the ones that do happen are very short. Basically everyone feels like a background group these days. Kobushi are at least lucky enough to have that show they do.

I don't think they'll change colors unless they add people. And how well their next single does will likely play a role in that.

The 5nin performance was amazing! I really like the chemistry between the girls, and I think those 5 colors work very well together. It can be used in so many ways. I hope the colors don't change as well. 

I believe in those girls, they're great performers and they seem to enjoy what they're doing a lot! They also believe a lot in Kobushi, it seems. But for the group to rise again, they need great new songs together with a very well thought promotion, great pvs, etc.

I agree with many of Fallacia's sentiments. It does feel empty and will take a while getting used to. I think the promise of their future has a lot to do with what seems to be talked little about here and that's actual song writing. Never mind colors, outfits or routines. A great producer can make a song sound like night and day. They need a few strong singles to get out of this funk, if you ask me.

As for that new song sample... despite the distraction of what sounds like a karaoke performance, it sounds to me like a very old Morning Musume song; strong enough to hold its own, but not a breakthrough or attention grabber.

They have back dancers because it's Hello Con. Other groups have them too during certain songs. Thought it was a welcome addition, but I was admittedly staring solely at Chii during at least 5 performances of Dosukoi >_>;
