I didn't mean a lesson for foreigners but for kids learning new words. I was thinking along the lines of a children song to teach new words

Some friends and myself threw a birthday party for reirei on Sunday. Sadly the guy who was in charge of the cake failed us and we had to buy a pizza. So we threw a pizza party! We watched tons of videos of reirei in them and We were 6 guys total and it was hella fun!

^ I try to keep the Rei thread rather up to date since she's my absolute favourite H!P member after Duu and it just makes me sad to see that there's almost no traffic in the Factory threads (well except for when there's a crisis  )  ....I try to make it better with the thread of my oshi at least (but sometimes I get a major case of feeling too lazy lol). As a result, Rei's thread has some decent traffic. Just wanted to thank you all for making posts every now and then too. Not feeling quite so alone haha

Unfortunately, Reirei's scheduled appearance in Weekly Shounen Champion (the recent one with Maria in it and on the cover) turned out to just be an interview. Ko-zakura on tumblr did a nice summary of it:

Some casual points from this interview (furigana made it easier to read + there’s a lot that has been made known about Rei already present in this interview as well). 

 

-As the youngest member in Kobushi, rather than having an image of being fawned over, Rei has more of a playful image.

 

-After a live tour, Rei decided to combine drinks together as a prank and got Hamaura Ayano to drink it who said it tasted normal, however, when Rei tried it herself it tasted like toothpaste. 

 

-On the other hand, Rei does not like being pranked on and hates ghosts. Recalls a moment in the dressing room on tour where Fujii Rio, Ogawa Rena and Hama-chan played a prank on Rei. The lights were turned off and Renako started playing the theme song from “Tales of the Unusual”. Hama-chan gave her a box of almond chocolate which Rei always carries around with her and noticed it has been tampered with mustard. “It was the worst. It was traumatic. I cried!” (lol). Her shocked reaction was recorded and posted in the group chat.

 

-Wanted to be an idol since she was in nursery school because of Kirarin Revolution. Underwent the Tsunku-produced Nice Girl Project audition in 4th grade which she passed after her mother suddenly took a photo of her and sent it as part of the audition form. She was so nervous that the inside of her head turned completely white.

 

-Back then she looked up to the now disbanded C-ute and Hagiwara Mai. Rei admired Mai’s cute singing. She eventually learnt that Hagiwara Mai also voiced the character, Mizuki Hikaru in the Kirarin Revolution anime. Up until now she has always admired them.

 

-Was surprised about the name “Kobushi Factory” as she didn’t know about the flower and could only think of the word “fist”. Furthermore to her surprise, the group started off with songs that were forceful and cool rather than cute songs.

 

-She was worried at first that she wouldn’t get along with the other members because they were all her seniors in KSS (we know that’s definitely not that case now)

 

-When talking about how the other members are kind, she recalls how at first when she told Rio she liked her and her dancing skills afterwards Rio started tease her affectionately by doing things like kabe-don on her. Thinking back on it now, she thought that was all unnecessary. The interviewer remarks that Rei seems to have a wicked tongue (dokuzetsu). Rei deflects with rather than having a wicked tongue, she says she has moments where she takes on the role of a tsukkomi. For example, how Renako is bad at reading kanji and misread “sakasama” (upside-down) as “gyakusama” even though it’s commonplace.

 

 -Interviewer: “I think I’m able to gather a sufficient understanding of your character. Loves pranks but hates ghosts, and an expert at being a wicked-tongued tsukkomi”.

-Entering a dark room alone is scary for her even at home so her older (middle) sister taught her to try singing an upbeat song. Every time Rei finds herself in a dark room she starts singing the frog song (I assume it’s the children’s song, “Kaeru no Gasshou” but that’s a guess).
 

-The final question: the interviewer asked what does being an idol mean to her? Rei answers it’s an occupation that is able to provide dreams. Just like being able to look up to Maimai and work towards a dream (as an idol). She loves live performances and notes that there is a “connection of fun” that when they’re having fun performing the audience will be able to enjoy themselves too.
 

-The interviewer asks if there’s something about Maimai that Rei would like to continue in her spirit since she has graduated it would be the ability to make various facial expressions when taking photos just like Maimai when she uploads a photo for a blog.

I usually find stuff on twitter. People sometimes post scans there but also photographs of pictures which can turn out to look rather decent. If the quality is reasonable or I absolutely want a bigger version of a picture I put it into Photoshop and try to pretty it up a bit. This can work well as in the sunglasses picture. Tried it with these two here two, but they don't look that great. Nevertheless, until there's a better version I'll tend to keep them anyway

The song is great! It's just so addicting, and reirei singing is very good!

Does anyone know if there'll be anything beyond just the digital download release (Inoue no Uta)? Since they went through the trouble of making a MV, no matter how simple / cheesy you'd think they'd sell it via a physical format? Maybe it's too short in length, plus it'd need to be paired with something else.

^ It's not supposed to be something big. So far, MaaDuu's Miss Henkan was by far the most popular of the Upcoming Music Delivery Corner (Japan Itunes JPop category #1 for a couple of days?) and there wasn't any announcement whether they plan on making it a physical release. Maaaaybe they include these in a future Petit Best release...?
