I just noticed she resembles Red Velvet's Seulgi, like the younger and Japanese version of Seulgi. Or is it just me?

They're called MaruMon! (from RisaMARU and KishiMON) They're such a fun pairing, and have been very close ever since Kizetsu Suru Hodo Aishiteru! when Yumeno played Billy Hoshino. I don't blame her for crushing on Yumeno since then, she's a handsome girl haha. Fun fact: She used to count and blog about how many times she made eye contact with Yumeno during performances.


 

 

I have an out of the loop question: Why is she called Maru-chan?

It's been her nickname since the Nice Girl Project days so who knows really. That's an interesting question though, it'd be nice to know how she got the nickname one day. Maru means circle/round. So it could be because of her face, or the roundness of her character. It's also used as a suffix to imply someone is young apparently. I read more about it here.
