As repressed as a lot of idols can be, I'm actually surprised it hasn't happened more often over the years.

I wonder, how do fans generally respond to this? Do they pretend it never happened or do they embrace it? Most wota seem to be really set on the idea that their idol shouldn't have a boyfriend and obviously not have sex (unless with them I guess?).

From what I can tell many of the ones that supported her before still support her, she has almost 10,000 followers just days after making her new account.
I think it's a bit different with underground idols than with big idols, expectations are different.
A lot of the newer underground idol groups have girls that smoke, that used to not be the case but it seems it's not that big of a deal anymore.

Former beboga member Aya is now an AV idol - she was my first oshi when I started to go to Japan, I would never have thought she would do that!!!

for the succesfull ones like Mikami Yua, yes.... there'll be more money
but many AV idols is stuck in more works and without money.....
