Okay so I'm going to post something controversial. I love Haachin and I'm so annoyed she didn't get her time to shine. But at the same time I'm annoyed by being annoyed bc I think UF is already doing a lot more for their girls than any other music company or normal company does even though they have to earn money just like everyone else. So thoughts in the spoiler.
First of the single thing:
I would be seriously pissed if they didn't manage to put out some form of graduation song for Haachin wether it'll be an actual single or a digital song.
I'd love for Haachin to get lots of lines in it. Then again girl didn't even take more than a week to practice her own birthday event songs. An event where she could actually shine. So not only am I wondering wether homegirl actually wants to sing at this point but I'm also not sure why we expect the company's artists to work hard on a song for a tone deaf cutie and risk money from sales and partly the groups popularity if she herself doesn't even bother to put in the work when she has all the freedom in the world to promote herself.
Second thing is this graduation concert thing where I think we should all give credit to UF:
MMs 20th anni was last year and they wanted to have a huge celebration at the autumn tour. Sadly Duu scheduled her grad for that date. So instead making it all about the 20th anni which would have been even bigger promotion than it was the way they handled it, they just had 2 Budokan so Duu got a graduation concert that was about her.
Now we are well past MMs 20th anni and they tried this 20th anni thing again. But oh shoot Haachin graduates. But instead of ignoring it this time yet again they announce two Budokan instead. And as far as we know they'll sacrifice the 20th anni party promo so that Haachin gets a graduation concert. I mean that's srsly like sacrificing your marketing strategy for a girl that has been around only a little over 3 years. Which other company would do that for their artist on such a big scale?
Thirdly everything else that's missing from a regular graduation celebration for a member in the months before:
Riho did announce her grad on short notice as well. And even for such a big member they struggled to organize things in a normal way. And there was more time between Rihos grad announcement and her actual grad than it is in Haachins case.
Normally the girls shoot a mv months before it's released for normal singles (not digital ones). I'm assuming this because of the occasions certain members were sick and thus missing in the final MVs (remember Zukki for 12ki's first single). Which means the songs and everything else is prepared way before already (songs written and arranged, locations organized, outfits sewn, choreography planned). Yet they hired Tsunku to write a song on short notice and put in the effort to at least come up with a (as far as we know) actual single release much faster than hey usually have the capacity to.
They'll probably have to restructure the last Budokan setlist, prepare Haachins graduation dress, manage special shootings and all that. While they are in the process of an actual tour going on with concerts for the girls every weekend and one month prior to her grad being completely packed with the annual musical preparations. So how they will manage to squeeze in single promotion events I have no idea.
It's not like UF is a massive company with a lot of ppl usually just hanging around wasting time.
They are going to present two new groups this summer. They actual manage atm to make all the groups be more succesful than they were before by working with new staff, trying new concepts etc.. And while I'm sure that every group has it's own team managing and planning stuff we know that some departments (outfit department, photography, choreography) work for all groups at the same time and need to be scheduled. All this while Haachin surely has her own schedule on which she needs to prepare for college.
This company proofed to us so many times that they are willing to put in work and risk money for the sake of the girls. Of course as fans we want the best for our girls and are wondering why they aren't doing this or that. But I feel like we know nothing about what's going on in the back. And we sometimes forget that the staff ppl are living and breathing humans as well that need to take care of money and can only work so much.
I have a hard time believing they don't try their best when they were ready to hire Kanyon as a lyricist even tho she didn't have any training, sent Aika and Chinami to NZ to practice English and still employ them or give Shimizu and Maasa actual work even tho again they probably could find professionals being already trained and would do better).
^ That's why I said and their parents.
