Did Nonaka ever give the name of the town in Alabama where she spent her time in the U.S.?  On a related note, has she ever explained how she ended up there?  The only two scenarios I can imagine which would land a Japanese person in the American south involve the auto industry or agriculture.  Perhaps her father worked for Japan's Big Three, or was in agribusiness?
