In this blog she says that she would like to make a song based on classical music. An example she lists from Hello! Project as her inspiration is Mugen Climax. She loves classical music especially Mozart. She says her love for classical music started when she was a baby and her parents put on Baby Mozart on DVD. As for music, her favourite sound is of the piano.

I made a song ~ !

(Well, I tried to compose one)

In January, I thought

“I want to try composing in 2021”

(I also wrote it on my blog)

For the time being,

I used a music creation software called Garage Band

which was included in my MacBook

I made short phrases

and learnt how it worked little by little

whilst playing.

Since February has a spring break

I thought

“Let’s make a song with a Intro- A melody- B melody- Chorus -Outro!”

Yesterday, while trying to come up with an idea

a song was born in the morning,

it seems like I made a song I liked. Lol

In February, I am going to try my best at composition,

I want to know more about music.

As I said in my last blog,

Even though I long to compose

I kinda feel embarrassed

I wish I didn’t feel that way… lol.

I don’t know why but

composing in the morning is better than at night

I was able to create a song

with a clear head

According to this blog by Kawamuu, she listened to one of Chel’s compostions (and went to her house and played with Tofu-chan!)

After we finished recording (For Hello! Mobile)

Nonaka-san asked me to listen to a song that she was working on

It was so good!!!

I want to download and have it played on rotation!!! Immediately!!!

That’s how I felt

I am looking forward it when it is completed.

Chel also has shown her composition to Maachan!

Chel: Yes! That’s why I wanted Sato-san to be the first to hear it, so I asked her to listen to it.

Then there was the episode of The Girls Live (#261) where Takui was teaching Miki, Maachan and Honopi how to conjure up melodies out of chord progressions, using his Taiki Bansei as an example (the chord progression of the verse and chorus is the same, the melodies are different). He asked the girls to improvise a melody, Miki did it seemlessly, Maachan felt inhibited (shy?) and couldn't react as quickly or eagerly as Chel.......this doesn't mean that Maachan lacks the melodic comprehension that Miki does, she merely withered under fire. Maachan, please have more confidence!

Ah, I guess composition like any art form is putting a part of yourself out there, where you can be judged. Chel talks a lot about feeling embarrassed about her compositions, so it seems just showing it to the few people she did took a lot of courage for her. These girls are obviously very talented, I hope they feel more confident.

Maya Miyagawa, who was an NBA ambassador with Chel tagged and posted some pictures of Chel on her Instagram! Chel and Maya did personal training together, the third picture is a video of Maya assisting Chel with an exercise. Maya also has a copy of Chel's photobook at her house.

I have known Miki since she was 18 years old. We first met in New Jersey with our NBA work and we've got on well ever since then.

 

The 4th photo is of a photobook that is in my house which is filled with Miki-chan's killer smile

 

Besides her killer smile, in the photobook you can see lots Miki-chan in a yukata, which I love, and an adult like Miki-chan.

Yep, she advises young girls to not restrict their food intake which is very important.

Yeah, it sucks that a manager thought that it was okay to comment on a 15 year old girl's body like that. Your body changes a lot during puberty and there is nothing wrong with that. It is especially sad as in her S Cawaii interview, Chel refers to that time between 2015-2019 as the biggest setback of her life. Which makes sense as we can see her growth more now after she essentially has just recovered from an eating disorder.

She was dealing with so much, silently, on her own especially during her teenage years, getting over that period must have been so freeing. It is so heart-warming now seeing Chel being so excited about so many things now like Tofu-chan, composition, and in her last blog with Maya she said she would like to make her fans a muscle training video  .

The problem here isn't so much commenting on the girl's weight, which is actually part of their work and thus directly related to the manager's duty.
It's not following them properly regarding the subject.
Although they can't have a nutritionist all the time behind everyone, and I don't know how they handle things "on duty" and how they are advised "off"
