Does anyone know what settings the person who uploaded those files is using?

Either Avisynth script? Interframe script etc? The file size for the quality is very good and lack of fast weird arm/hand movement is also very good. I tried to do this with my Blu Ray Isos but converting it to 60fps and in good quality always leaves files with at least 10gb and weird motion blur'ish hands/arms.

 

So does anyone have an idea what was used? Since this person can't be reached over the tracker >.<

I rip my own to 720p from its BDISO for playback in my tab using handbrake.
The settings are:

• Picture: Anamorphic none, modulus 16, keep aspect ratio
• Filters: Decomb default
• Video: Too lazy to switch to advanced so, codec h264, framerate variable same as source, RF 22, preset fast, tune film, profile high, level 4.0

The result is very sharp and still no visible artifacts and get about the same size as that video on tracker. In my opinion doubling the framerate isn't always looks good, especially if I don't expand both top and bottom field to full resolution as deinterlacing method. If I use other deinterlacing method than expanding the interlaced field, the excess frames are just garbage. And I just wasting my time for encoding and disk space.

I just really dislike 24/29 fps in basically anything, 60 just looks/feels better . But doing this with interframe makes arms look weird like i said before >.< (Fast movment in general). That's the reason i ask if anyone knows what settings need to be changed.

 

And yeah encoding one concert Blu Ray is around 10hs on a good PC 60fps 20 x264 settings 1080p o,o;.

You can also use x265 which generates smaller files than x264, for deinterlacing yadif filter.
You are probably using Windows. Some Windows user could know which software supports x265 and yadif.

I can use x265 with MeGUI but have not experimented with it yet to much but might give it a go.

 

 

Edit: Holy crap x265 is slow lol

Presets slower than medium are very slow and only reach about 10% lower bitrate at same CRF level.

bleh just can't get it to 59fps without ugly as hell artifacts

 

This code makes it a bit better but only for 48fps

InterFrame(GPU=true, Preset="Faster", Tuning="Smooth", NewNum=48000, NewDen=1001, Cores=4)

 

Drives me crazy!

Hey all somewhat related so hope you don't mind the thread hijack --

I recently bought a bluray drive for my computer and was wondering, what programs are you using to rip the bluray disc to the HDD?  I'm looking to rip to ISO file if possible.  May end up making an encode later on, but for now just interested in the ripping programs.

I do not do rips. But to mount the ISO file fine "DAEMON Tools". There is a free version (only mount).
