Either there's a ridiculously massive drop, or there's a mistake in the counting like happened once before (or perhaps that was a delay rather, I forget), and we'll get a very high 2nd day sales. But if not, then I would be very surprised.

ya .. anyway .. something like that did happen before ..
look at the list .. there is a Aishiteraburu! which has 98K but the next day its 288K ..
so nothing to worry about .. there is nothing wrong with the single ..
I doubt there are much people like me who did not buy because of disappointment of senbatsu selection ..

Anyway .. the only chance they may drop are the other idol groups .. its a day when the top 5 has 4 idol group ..and have 6 idol groups in top 10 ..
but I seriously doubt the other idol group have much effect on their sales .. slight maybe though ..

It's probably the theater edition that was shipped late which means this should be closer to soundscan numbers. I think the total soundscan numbers usually are about 90,000 which is pretty close to this.

Basically .. its near impossible for it to sell less than the last single ..

This single for the limited version besides the usual handshake ticket coupon which they are very behind on backlog on clearing though ..

It also have the SKE48 request hour voting coupon in it ..

and if that is not enough ..

They change their bonus system .. instead of giving a crappy card which only have senbatsu member in it .. now they give photos with 81 different types ..

So we can just relax and watch tomorrow grand number show .. LOL

Day 2 with 84,892 copies sold, total of 152,678 so far.

And, I cannot believe that the delay of theater singles have been accounted for yet. If so, we're talking about the biggest most massive drop in sales in a long, long time for any group.

So wonder when we'll get to see those figures included. Hopefully in the 1st week sales.

It may be just a logistical issue .. to me .. it still look like it change is sending out ..
we should see a big one tomorrow or the day after .. or we should see a constant 5 digit figure for the whole week ..

This is really strange. Their previous single sold 118,750 non theater copies in the first week so this single is either doing really well or some of the theater edition copies have already been counted.

This is my theory or reasoning on it ..

first you got to compare between the theater version and limited version ..

Theater Version
Price : Fixed at 1000yen
Bonus : 1) Request Hour coupon(can be resale)
handshake : specific date, specific member, non-resale
seller : 1 seller, usually send out early

Limited Version
Price : 1600yen with discount or points system
Bonus : 1) Request Hour coupon, 2) 1/81 photo, 3) possible shop special (All can be resale)
handshake : unknown date, unspecific member, can be resale
seller : many sellers, send out randomly within first week depending on the shop

Changes : 1/16 card replace with 1/81 photo

Looking at this .. I would think that the change which is to replace the 1/16 card to 1/81 photo may have tip the scale towards the limited edition ..
furthermore 1/16 cards are worth much less than 1/81 photo on the resale market ..and also you can get non-senbatsu member photo which will appeal to people who are fans of non-senbatsu members

furthermore, theater handshake is specific date and member therefore there is a chance you don't get the member you want or you may not be able to make it on the specific date ..
but the limited handshake you can pick your member and if you can't make it on that day, you can always sell the ticket ..

Theater version is just 1 seller if you talk about the handshake bonus and 1 seller they usually prepare ahead of time and send them out when the time come and 1 version is easy to pack ..
Limited version has many seller, it depend on the seller abilities, I have had HMV sending me my preorder on Sunday the last day of the charting week .. with 4 version it is more time consuming to pack as you need to get the combination right ..
furthermore ..some limited version may be from minor sellers whose sales would not be charted on the daily chart and would only be counted for the week ..

So I would think the limited edition should do better this time but this will cause the charting to be pretty even throughout the week as different sellers send them out at different time
and the numbers for sales not counted during daily chart but counted for the week will increase making daily sales look less ..

but of course limited edition is more expensive and people may buy less so the sales may look like it drop but the money earned will probably be more ..
