How difficult is it to get tickets?

Not difficult. Pretty much everyone wins them from the lottery, but if you have difficulty, several will definitely be on Yahoo Auctions Japan 2 weeks before hand.

Machi-chan is correct. I got 4 tickets thanks to NozomiChan. But the payment was made 4/28 after knowing if tickets had been won in the lottery. So you'd probably have to suspect that the lottery is over. Maybe if they aren't sold out quickly the lottery continues? IDK.

I'm really trying to go to the 8/16 night show. How do you get tickets besides the lottery? Can you buy them from the US?

No, not directly. You need to go through someone in Japan or a a service of some sort. If you don't want to get them through the lottery, you'll have to wait until about two weeks before when they show up on Yahoo Auctions Japan. (You'll need someone in Japan to help you purchase these.) Or buy them in ticket resale shops if you're in Japan by that point.
