That's exactly the feeling I want to convey and it's the nicest thing you could have said to me. It makes all the effort worthwhile. Thanks.

Thank you so much! I've edited the links. Woah, you really did read the whole report. You should get a reward or something
@nyunchandesu: Thanks so much for your blog entries! I throughly enjoyed reading about your fangirly adventures! I'm in the same boat as you are but for MM's NYC concert (it will be my first idol experience!) I can't wait and your articles certainly pumped me up! So glad you were so lucky and got to meet airi!
Thanks! The power of fangirly adventures I'm happy that I got you pumped up. I felt exactly the same reading ppl's blog reports of previous Paris concerts I hope... scratch that... I KNOW you're gonna have loads of fun with MM. Write a report for yourself afterwards! It really helps with keeping the memories :3

Thanks for the report, Nyuchandesu! It definitely brought back some memories.
About the handshakes, I think it's funny that a pretty young lady like you had almost the exact same experience as an old geezer like me. Although I have to strongly disagree with you about Chinami: Chii-chan is super pretty and has a super duper personality. And I am super biased because she is one of my favorite H!P members. She even high-fived me a couple of times, woohoo! (And she was extremely nice to me when I shook her hands in Japan earlier this year. ) I was letdown a bit by Miyabi, who is another one of my favorites; I remember her being much friendlier before. Dunno why she seemed distant this time around. To answer your question about Risako, no, you are not the only one feeling that she was scared to touch us. (But I had a much worse experience with her at this spring's Naruchika in Miyazaki, Japan. There, at the handshake event after the concert, she actually had a disgusted look on her face when she saw me, before she forced a weak smile and reluctantly shook my hand. What a bummer, almost ruined my day. )
Oh, and too bad that some of the fans you queued with behaved ungentlemanly. I hate to say it, but the worst thing about H!P concerts outside of Japan, apart from bad organisation, shitty setlists, and subpar performances, are some of the gaijin fans. Says a gaijin fan.

I'm glad you enjoyed my report!
I think you meant "pretty young" as "kinda young" because I also see myself belonging to the "old geezer" category The wig got everybody fooled hehe.
With Chinami I think it's because I had super high expectations after seeing her antics in USA. I think she went this extra mile for the fans there although I haven't been there myself. During the handshake she was friendly and nice but I anticipated more interactions with her. Maybe with two groups there and lots of Airi fans she let Momo steal the show However, she did some fun things with fans during the signing so kudos for that
"subpar performances" so I'm not the only one! The whole concert (I enjoyed it immensely nevertheless) seemed so sloppy. Very often their dance was stiff. I have no idea why! Last year C-ute in Paris seemed to be better.
Yep, Miyabi was distant but Risako took it to the whole new level. I'm so sorry to hear that she treated you like that! ( Does she have a problem with foreigners? On camera she's much more carefree. I thought she has a shy cutie chara but now I just don't know.

No, I meant "pretty young" as "pretty and young".
Last year C-ute in Paris seemed to be better.
Yeah, I agree.

I don't believe Risako has a problem with foreigners. She's not exactly known to be the sociable type, even among the Japanese fans. And I know of one gaijin fan who reported that he had pleasant interactions with her on several different occasions. At any rate, I still like Risako a lot, even if that feeling isn't mutual.

@Crazed Lurker Aww... so sweet thanks Let's hope that Rii is just bad at socialising but she loves us all equally (not only the fans with her name tattooed on their arms *winkwink*)
@Samurai Dana I deleted the photo. I've noticed that all your posts about the Berikyuu concert were deleted from your site. Is everything okay?

I hope Risako doesn't hate me. (And I wish I was a bad enough dude to get me some cool BeriKyuu tattoos! )

So, overall, I am satisfied. I'm not mad at all that I finally decided to go, maybe it was one of my last chances to see BeriKyuu. And as a true H!P fan, I have great respect for them. Especially meeting Captain, Miya, Yurina, Chinami and Risako for the first time felt nice. I've heard many bad things about Japan Expo's organisation though, and I can confirm it all now. The dissapointment I got when I arrived at 1 P.M. at the signature ticket machine, already doing selections for the 2nd signature session... I guess a lot of people knew this would happen and ordered a premium or zen ticket right away. (Good to know that, I'll be doing that for Momusu for sure). Oh well, the handshakes were magical. I couldn't say anything but "Arigatou Gozaimashita" (just adding a few things for Momo, Maasa and Chisa) and some of them looked confused at me, because I was so nervous and went to the next girl right away... I suck at these, after all. The concert? I enjoyed it 100%, really. But finding the waiting place was the worst. And I thought I would see a bit more being at the 6th row in the front, doesn't seem so lol (I'm not tall either so yeah). Loved the songs they played, I'm sure some girls looked at me (I jumped the whole time to get their attention, sorry if I jumped on anyone's feet). Despite the organisation, it was worth every euro to meet them.
You didn't get the chance to participate in the signing session ?
Oh wow late reaction (that's what I get for forgetting about H!O). Nope. I was lining up since about 10 a.m. , I can't remember it well. We dashed immediately to the ticket machines. I was surprised they just scanned our ticket and watched the screen having to tell almost everyone "sorry". Apparently the first come, first serve was already done. Couldn't believe 100 people already got a ticket... And like always I didn't get luck with the drawing system. Then I also heard about the zen, premium tickets enterring early. I did not know about it, if I did I would've probably bought a special ticket as well.
Well, i'm not lurking reguarly this section of the forum so lucky i also saw your answer
Well, the system was absolutely shitty last year i agree. but i was in the same case as you actually. Went straight to the signing lottery queue, failed it, asked for my wife's ticket, failed it again (although i was lucky enough some people gave away berryz koubou box of their (at that time) last single through the whole waiting queue).
i then came back later in the day to see that the queue was still open because these douchebag had like only only half of the signing ticket won. ii asked them to participate again since no one was in line but they answered me the system could'nt do that, which is incredibly stupid considering they denied a lot of people and that they had a lot left...
Anyway i went boldly at the end of the real queue for the actual signing session and explained my situation, and luckily they did let me in.
I could make sign my hello project encyclopedia circa 2004 with the HP kids profile on them . Was so funny to see their face looking at their kids picture. Miya was ashamed lol. And while Chii was asking where she sould sign i spotted her a wrong place and momochi laughed at me, i acted a "yurushite nyan" in answer. and she asked me to make it again for her. Sadly i was then rushed to the next by the staff member.
So well, you should still try to "force" your way next time if you aren't lucky. obviously after everyone who won has gotten, their sign.
