Ayami is taking a break from her singing career.
Her recent blog post translated by onji-kobe
To the people who always support me
I have something I would like to tell you.
I decided to stop my showbiz activities for a while, with playing the Akasaka Blitz solo-concert on December 23 for the last time -- for now.
I'm sorry for making a sudden notice.
It's not an easy decision. I took long serious deliberations.
Finally, I've sorted out my feelings and now I inform you of this.
On April 29, I could stand on the stage on Shibuya Koukaido as a solo singer, the place I had long been admiring.
The fans who've supported me might think I have still long way to go.
But I've been in showbiz world since I was a child, and honestly, I feel I'm here just because I've been here.
Of course, I've been trying my best, but I find myself having no future prospects -- how I would like to be.
And I think it's hard to go ahead without hard resolution on my future.
In this showbiz world, it's impossible to go ahead just because I love to sing.
I need to have a strong will of myself.
There are fans who've been supporting me, and there are staffs who help me.
Because of that, I must not be unaware of a clear vision on what I aim to be.
I must be more confident in leading all of you to a wonderful place.
I might have been in too favourable surroundings.
Now I want to have a time to foster my heart -- to raise my sweet hope into a strong determination.
I'll leave a place where pampered me, where I've take as granted.
And I want to see several new worlds.
And when I get a determination, a hard confidence that I am a singer.
I'll be back.
You will find a new Ayami.
And. I have best mates. I heartily hope their dreams come true.
If there would be a guy who is up against the wall which I've hit, I wanna be one who can say 'It's no problem. You can overcome!' In order to be so, I shall face myself, and proceed forward.
I'll learn and absorb new things, with the faith that I can send you better singing some time.
I've been given a lot of power from your warm cheers.
I love you.
Thank you for your support!!
Look forward to seeing new Muto Ayami!!

^ Wow, this is quite a shock. I'm going to miss her terribly. But I think I understand what she is saying, and why she feels she needs to make this change. I admire her courage to continually challenge herself by stepping out into the unknown.

For all I know, we may not see Ayami again for a long time, if ever. So here is this.
AYMX December 23, 2015.
Thanks for everything, Ayami. Follow your dreams.

^ I'm going in late April/May and there is a 99% chance she will do a birthday live but it will most likely be impossible to get a ticket for it.
